Hope Has Wings Education is Hope. Hope Has Wings. Hope has wings is a project under the aegis of Sumitra Devi Charitable Trust.

One of the basics of development in the truest sense is education. Education, in contrast to just literacy, pertains to the development of the ability of the individual to think rationally. It not only enables a person to read, write and understand but also empowers him/her to create ideas which can in turn contribute towards their personal, family and societal well being. The project was formally

started in December 2010 with its first initiative at Narbheram Hansraj English School, Jamshedpur. The project has now spread to Ranchi, Jharkhand and Sasaram, Rohtas, Bihar. Hope Has Wings believes that education opportunities to the under-privileged can go a long way in raising the bar. Education has changed lives of not only the one getting it but also subsequent generations who in turn have done truly great things towards social welfare and upliftment. This cycle is the exact thing which the project envisions for a prosperous society. True to its name, the project wants to give hope to the many children who have good aptitude towards education but are hindered by lack of financial resources. We believe that these children, with aptitude at par with children who have ready access to quality education, can potentially shape their own, their families', the society's and the country's future.
