Mookkaiyur A historical seashore village at Bay of Bengal, Tamilnadu, India Mookkaiyur is a seashore village which has a long rich history of varied cultural heritage.

It is home to three monumental churches, two in honour of St. James and one in honour of St. Antony, a middle school which is one of the very few schools in Tamil Nadu to complete a centenary, a post office since british rule and beautiful backwaters. One of the St. James's church was built more than 400 years ago and is of much historical significance.
