🌟 A***n Group Bal Vikas Kendra – Children’s Day Educational Visit to Regional Science Centre, Dehradun 🌟
On the occasion of Children’s Day, the children from A***n Group Bal Vikas Kendras embarked on an enriching and joyful educational visit to the Regional Science Centre, Dehradun. The objective of the visit was to spark curiosity, expand scientific thinking, and provide hands-on learning experiences beyond the classroom.
The day was filled with excitement as the children explored a wide range of interactive exhibits showcasing concepts of physics, environment, space science, and innovation.
One of the most captivating attractions for the students was the Taramandal (Planetarium) Show, where they experienced a breathtaking journey through the solar system. Watching planets, stars, and constellations come alive on the dome screen became the highlight of the day, leaving the children inspired by the wonders of the universe.
In addition to the exhibits, the children actively engaged in demonstrations and practical learning activities that helped them understand scientific principles in a simple, relatable way. The visit not only enhanced their understanding of science but also encouraged them to ask questions, observe deeply, and think creatively.
At A***n Group, we believe in holistic development—providing opportunities that shape children into aware, confident, and responsible individuals. This Children’s Day, our aim was to gift our students an experience that fuels imagination and broadens their horizons, and we are delighted to have achieved that.

This week, WRI and A***n Group hosted a screening as part of the Locally-Led Inclusive Climate Adaptation (LLA) project, featuring films on community-led innovations from India and Southeast Asia.

Women and children from the communities joined in, reflecting on how local ideas can drive real change. The kids were especially excited to share how they deal with the heat, and to learn more through the COPE books, and to create and share their own videos!

Flood Report – Dehradun (Rajpur, Kathbangla Basti, Nagal Basti, Shikhar Fall)

Overview
In mid-September 2025, Dehradun witnessed continuous heavy rainfall and cloudbursts, causing severe floods and landslides across the city. Low-lying areas situated near the Rispana and Bindal rivers—particularly Kathbangla Basti, Nagal Basti, and the Rajpur–Shikhar Fall region—were badly affected.
Impact on Communities
Floodwater entered several homes, damaging essential household items, furniture, and food supplies.
Many families were temporarily displaced due to waterlogging and road blockages.
Power and water supply were disrupted for several days, increasing difficulties for residents.
The Shikhar Fall–Rajpur zone witnessed flash floods and landslides that damaged pipelines, connecting roads, and hillside structures.
Condition of A***n Group Centres
A***n Group’s Bal Vikas Kendras in Kathbangla Basti and Nagal Basti also faced serious damage:
Floodwater entered both centres, affecting furniture, learning materials, and electrical fittings.
Heavy silt and debris accumulated in and around the premises, making them temporarily inaccessible.
The local children and families associated with these centres were among the worst affected.
Relief and Response by A***n Group NGO
A***n Group initiated prompt relief and restoration efforts in coordination with volunteers, community members, and local authorities.
Key actions included:
Procurement of 30 jaals (wire mesh) to reinforce vulnerable riverbanks and drains.
Engagement of local labourers for debris clearance and sandbag filling.
Distribution of 200 sandbags (katte) to protect homes from further water damage.
Deployment of a JCB machine to clear blocked drains and remove mud from the affected lanes.
Distribution of ration kits and clothes to families who lost their belongings during the floods. Essential food grains, cooking oil, and daily-use items were provided to ensure basic sustenance.
Coordination with ward representatives and Jal Sansthan for repairing damaged pipelines and restoring water supply in affected bastis.
Current Status
Cleaning and repair work at both centres is underway.
Basic learning activities have restarted in a limited capacity under the NGO’s supervision.
Continued relief support is being planned for repairing walls, restoring electricity, and replacing damaged materials.

आज 2 अक्टूबर को आर्यन ग्रुप संस्था द्वारा महात्मा गांधी एवं लाल बहादुर शास्त्री जयंती के अवसर पर “नीर योद्धा सम्मान समारोह” का आयोजन किया गया।
देहरादून में आई आपदा के दौरान जल आपूर्ति सुचारु बनाए रखने और सेवा कार्यों में योगदान देने वाले जल संस्थान के कर्मठ अधिकारी-कर्मचारी एवं माननीय पार्षदों को सम्मान पत्र देकर सम्मानित किया गया। 🙏

आर्यन ग्रुप संस्था द्वारा 150 कट्टे, एक ट्राली मलवा भेजा जा रहा है व मजदूर लगाए जा रहें हैं काठ बांग्ला बस्ती में। संस्था के केंद्र जिसमें बस्ती के 50 बच्चे निशुल्क शिक्षा ग्रहण कर रहे हैं वहां अंदर पानी घुसने से रोकने की कोशिश की जा रही। विशेष आभार मैड संस्था का जिसने मौके पर जाकर जायजा लिया व सही जानकारी मुझ तक पहुंचाई उसके बाद ही हम अपनी रणनीति बना पाए। बाकी वीडियो कॉल के माध्यम से मैं पल-पल की खबर ले रहा हूं। संस्था के सचिव सुपोष गुप्ता 150 कट्टे व लेबर लेकर जाते हुए।

देहरादून में आई दैवये आपदा की फ़ोटो और विडियो विचलित कर देने वाली हैं। शिखरफॉल ,प्रेमनगर, सुमन नगर,मालदेवता व अन्य इलाकों मे बहुत तबाही हुई है।
आर्यन ग्रुप बाल विकास केंद्र काठबंग्ला बस्ती भी चपेट में आया है।
हैदराबाद होने के कारण मैं छेत्र में नही जा पा रहा हूँ पर अपनी टीम को हर संभव मदद पहुचाने के निर्देश दिए हैं।
इस दुखः की घड़ी में हम सब एक साथ खड़े हैं।
