What started off as a casual Saturday morning S.J.V. Chelliah who I’ve known for some time now and who is also the CFO at Tata BlueScope Steel Ltd. We at St Crispin’s Home required some sheeting material for our Nursery/Balwadi which we intended to restart post gap of 2 years due to COVID. In this initial discussion and planning we are extremely grateful Arc Aniruddha Sane for his contribution in suggesting ways and means to repair the exiting place. It was in that context that I spoke to S.J.V. Chelliah if his company would be kind enough to buy sheeting material at a concessional rate. To cut a long story short, he had his CSR team connect with us and in this we were wonderfully guided by Ms Shiksha Mishra who managed, along with her team, the whole reconstruction of the Nursery/Balwadi Shed, which was inaugurated on the 24th of Feb 2023, we were glad to have Mr Matthew Colghan – BlueScope, Australia, member of Board of directors, Mr Anoop Kumar Trivedi – MD, Tata BlueScope Steel Ltd, Mr Ajay Rattan Associate Vice President, Tata BlueScope Steel Ltd, Mr Hamdan Wahid - Dy Head Digitisation, Tata BlueScope Steel Ltd. We at St Crispin’s Home wish to thank the entire Board of Tata BlueScope Steel Ltd and their employees for their generous act in helping the society receive a wonderful place for its children receive quality education.

This premises will serve as a seat of education to the children belonging to the marginalised society around St Crispin’s Home in giving them an opportunity to get good quality education at a nominal fee of Rs 500/- pm, if they can afford it, if not we happily waive it off. We currently have 17 children who attend and are ably taught by 2 teachers and a helper who assists them. We are grateful to Mr Bhavnesh Desai in taking care of the salaries, without his generous monthly donation running this project would have been an uphill task. There are so many who helped in the generation of AutoCAD drawings and in actual construction and St Crispin’s Home thanks them too
