This is CM's proposal, but is NOT included in Pune CMP recently signed by CM himself! 😕 Why make CMPs then?

'Reach anywhere in 15 minutes' = people won't use Metro/bus.

This proposal is DIRECTLY AGAINST the CMP's vision of increasing public transport use and reducing private vehicle use!! 😡

Pune consistently has nearly 60-70% more pedestrian fatalities than what MoHUA, Govt of India suggests as a 'permissible limit' for a city's transportation to be called 'good'.

We must do whatever it takes to reduce pedestrians' fatalities!

This chart shows some data on pedestrians' fatalities in Pune. Some observations / questions we have:

1. Men between 30-49 years form a large demographic group. Is it because anyway a huge % of pedestrians are men between 30-49?
2. Or is this because (they think) they are physically capable, so they take more risks while crossing roads?
3. On the other hand, there are very few fatalities among women between 30-49. Why? Are they much more careful while walking and crossing?

Any more insights, anyone?

Why didn't any political party in power during the last 14 years, whether in PMC or in MH Govt, improve PMPML?
Vote for a party that categorically promises to have 5000 buses for PMPML, and also to cancel projects that will hurt our natural wealth.

Such mega construction projects induce higher personal vehicle usage, leading to congestion, then even bigger such projects. They also create huge construction dust. This चक्रव्यूह will lead to Delhi-like air quality throughout the year!

VOTE WISELY!

PMC's consultant had estimated that by 2023 the mobility on Law College Road will be 'completely stopped'! Or by 2024, even if we had a very good bus by then.

Er... what??? Today it takes just 8 minutes to go from BORI to Nal Stop in peak hours! And PMC paid this consultant through our tax money!

Let us vote for a party that promises to spend on a high quality bus service, rather than on such incompetent consultants!

We asked, "How much of the traffic on Law College Rd is through traffic, and how much is local?"

But finding the answer to this basic question was "out of scope" of PMC's consultant's work!

And PMC didn't bother to find the answer too, even after we pointed it out. They 'approved' the project without analyzing this...!

See how PMC 'framed' a survey in Feb-23 to 'create' data in support of BBPP Rd.

And also see how the response changes when given the right information!

People are saying, "We don't want the road by cutting trees!"

LET US TURN THIS INTO VOTES NOW!!
