Introduction
Welcome to the Shri Dhupi Nauling Foundation (SDNF)! Our 15-day volunteer program is designed for individuals who are passionate about social service. This program will help you understand the principles of social work, community development methods, and the mission of SDNF. We have added a special focus on Rural Development and Rural Tourism.
Program Objectives
Understand the difference between social service and professional social work.
Identify and understand the problems of marginalized and needy communities.
Develop effective communication and relationship-building skills.
Assist with SDNF's ongoing projects.
Embrace the essential ethical values and principles of a social worker.
Understand the importance of rural development and rural tourism.
Program Schedule
This program will run for 15 days, combining both theoretical knowledge and practical experience.
Week 1: Theory and Understanding
Day 1-2: Introduction to SDNF, our mission and vision. What is social work?
Day 3-4: Major social issues in communities: poverty, illiteracy, health, and gender inequality.
Day 5-6: Communication skills, active listening, and developing empathy.
Day 7: The basics of social justice and human rights.
Week 2: Fieldwork and Skill Development
Day 8-9: Understanding the concepts of Rural Development and Rural Tourism.
Day 10: Working on a case study: planning a strategy to help a real family or individual.
Day 11-12: Participation in small projects (e.g., teaching children, conducting a village survey). Assist with SDNF's rural tourism initiatives.
Day 13-14: Report writing and sharing your experiences.
Day 15: Closing ceremony and certificate distribution.

This program is open to students, retired professionals, and anyone who wants to dedicate their time to social service.

Note- This 15-day Rural Development & Tourism Camp is offered free of cost in terms of training and course participation.
However, accommodation and food facilities will be chargeable at a nominal rate, which participants will be required to pay during the camp. Detailed information regarding these charges will be shared upon confirmation of registration.
Upon successful completion of the camp, every participant will be awarded a Certificate of Participation, which will be officially recognized and valid for use in academic, professional, and development-related opportunities.
