Children's Rights in Goa CRG works towards improving the status of children in Goa. Children's Rights in Goa (CRG) is dedicated to improving the status of children in Goa.

It creates awareness about the rights of the child and is committed to protecting children from s*xual abuse and all forms of exploitation. CRG started as a programme of Vikas Adhyayan Kendra (VAK), Mumbai, in 1996. On 10 February 2006, CRG was registered under the Societies’ Registration Act, 1860, (Registration No: 25/Goa/2006). It is also registered under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act and u

nder the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 1976 (FCRA). CRG endeavours:

To empower children by making them aware of their rights and providing them with information about how they can protect themselves from abuse. To enhance child participation and create platforms for children to express themselves. To stop Goa from becoming a destination for child s*x tourism. To encourage the government and tourism service providers to accept and observe the child friendly tourism code. To strengthen community initiatives to protect children by conducting targeted capacity-building programmes. To provide psycho-social support to child victims of abuse. To make protocols and procedures more child friendly. To advocate for the implementation of the Goa Children’s Act to reduce the vulnerability of children.
