E-Week 2011 consists of a myriad of events that test one’s competence and courage be it with respect to knowledge, creativity, leadership qualities, persuasive talent, thinking on one’s feet, keeping one’s cool under duress et cetera. CEL has always been committed to fostering the spirit of entrepreneurship on campus and lent assistance to those who wish to start up a business on their own. BITS h
as produced some great entrepreneurs and innovators and we wish to tap that as of yet hidden potential because India’s future rests upon the shoulders of those who can take her to unexplored avenues. The moment we hear the word entrepreneur, the names Mark Zückerberg, Bill Gates, Richard Branson, Walt Disney immediately spring to mind. These are people who in the words of the famous American poet Robert Frost, chose the road less travelled by, that of starting up their own ventures instead of taking up salaried jobs, and scaled insurmountable odds to come out on top with their ventures turning into thriving businesses that changed the face of the modern world. Such is the scope of entrepreneurship and it is time that people are aware of it. The events of the E-Week are designed in such a way that they increase the awareness of the participants and allow them to enjoy them as well.
