ਇੱਕ ਸਵਾਲ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸੋਚਣ ਲਈ ਮਜਬੂਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ…

ਕਿਸੇ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ—

“ਕੀ Child Abuse Awareness ਬਾਰੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਣਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਡਰ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ੱਕ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ?”

ਸੱਚ ਕਹਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਸਵਾਲ ਮੇਰੇ ਦਿਲ ਅਤੇ ਦਿਮਾਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਸ ਗਿਆ।

ਪਿਛਲੇ ਦੋ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਸੈਂਕੜਿਆਂ ਸਕੂਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ Child Safety ਅਤੇ Child Sexual Abuse Awareness ਬਾਰੇ ਗੱਲ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹਾਂ। ਪਰ ਕੀ ਅਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਅਤ ਬਣਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ ਜਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਾਸੂਮਿਯਤ ਖੋਹ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ?

Does educating children about Child Abuse Awareness make them fearful, or does it prepare them to protect themselves?

This is a question that made me stop and think deeply.
