He has done so much work to uplift our youth through Poma Panchayat Youth Welfare Society and the Poma Rising Campaign (PRC), focusing on a 'Clean & Green Poma,' human resource development, and the fight against drug abuse. His dedication to the Poma Panchayat Youth Welfare Society has been evident since his childhood. We need more positive person like him! Our very own Mr. Sangdupota Nyokum Yullo 2025 Silver Jubilee, Mr. Techi Loyen Tara, has officially made it into the Top 20 of Mr. Arunachal 2026.

The President of the Poma Panchayat Youth Welfare Society (PPYWS) in presence of General secretary and all executive members flagged off the 27th Poma Youth Foundation Day today, January 25, 2026. Special invitees included the ZPM of Sangdupota, the GPC of Poma Panchayat,former GPM Pota Rillo and members of the Youth Advisory Board.
‎After celebrating its Silver Jubilee on January 25, 2024, our Poma Panchayat achieved a historic milestone with Shri Kino Boken becoming the first ZPM from Poma Panchayat for the 2025–2030 term, supported by the love and blessings of the people of IV Upper Balijan. We, the youth, feel truly blessed to have celebrated the jubilee under a resolution and promise titled:

Poma villagers of Sangdupota circle block road leading to intake point of water supply of Itanagar alleged PHED & WS Deptt falure in complete protection of catchment area.

POMA, 19 Jan: The villagers of Poma village under Sangdupota circle of Papum Pare district has expressed displeasure over the alleged failure of PHE & WS department to safeguard the catchment areas of the Itanagar township water supply intake point. On Monday members of Poma Panchayat youth welfare society (PPYWS), Gaon Burahs (GBs), Panchayat leaders and village elders issued a strict warning to department to stop human settlement activities near the catchment areas of Meh and Mupu rivers from where the drinking water for Itanagar town is tapped.

The villagers has put gate blocking the lone road that leads to the intake point. The GPC of Poma Panchayat Techi Punia, GBs Techi Paso, Tayum Senkam, Techi Lera, Tayum Nabro, Kino Senda, along with members of PPYWS and village elders were present on the occasion.

“As the department has failed to take any action to safeguard the catchment areas we are forced to take matter into our own hands. We have locked this gate and will not allow anyone including PHE & WS department workers to use this road. Until department comes out with a long term solution to deal with this issue, the gate will remain closed,” the villagers announced.

The villagers alleged that without permission of village authorities some people have carried out construction activities near the catchment areas. “We have always cooperated with authorities in the best interest of everyone. But it seems we are being taken for granted. We have not allowed our own villagers to carry out human settlement in catchment areas but now outsiders are doing it. The department is not initiating any action. This is hurting our sentiments,” the villagers added.

Poma youth intercepted a gang from a nearby village that was violating panchayat rules for fishing. The case was settled on the spot on the night of December 28, 2025, with a heavy penalty imposed on the offenders, in accordance with the panchayat bylaws. We appeal to our own people to respect the laws laid down by every panchayat within the Sangdupota Circle, and we pledge a zero-tolerance approach to offenders..

Poma Panchayat Youth Welfare (PPYWS) Action Against Wildlife Crime

On 27 December 2025, members of PPYWS apprehended two individuals in the Poma Panchayat area for possession of wildlife meat, illegal weapons, and hunting gear inside a protected area.
The accused are residents of Papu Nallah, Naharlagun, are from Kurung Kumey district.

PPYWS handed the accused to Forest officials and urges the Forest Department and Police to register cases under the Wildlife Protection Act, Arms Act, and MCC prohibitory orders. Both the accused are legally in custody.

PPYWS reiterates its zero-tolerance policy on hunting and fishing and remains committed to protecting the region’s natural heritage.

We appeal people to refrain yourself from this kind of acts under territory of Poma Panchayat. Instead join hand with us in protecting wildlife and Natural resources.
