Smt Kurungattu Vanitha Vasan
Smt Kurungattu Vanitha Vasan the founder of Nrithanjaly ably supported by her husband Sri Vasan Mangatt, have been able to establish 12 branches in Palakkad District, and following structured program to impart training in the field of Bharatha Natyam,Mohiniyattam, Kuchipudi, Kerala Natanam. Ntrithanjali School of Dance is very particular in retaining the nobility and authenticity of classical form of arts, strictly keeping its domain of training only on classical dance. Smt Vanith Kurungattu a trained Bharatha Natyam Artists is also a certified post graduate ‘Master of Fine Arts’ from Bharathi Dasan University trained initially under Seetha Varyar Kalamandalam, and Kalai Kaveri Institute of Bharathi Dasan University. Her exposure to Krishnanattam Acharyas and its desciples motivate and helps her to reinvent herself to formulate and perform group dance dramas in temples, Krishanattam team invariably has people from her home village Kuthanur. She has written, Choreographed staged and performed the following Nrithashilpam.
1) Kshethracharitham - Nadumannam kshethram, Kodikkattu Kshethram, Kuthanur Bhagavathi
2) Stories of Purana - Semanthakam, Paasupada Labdhi
She has choreographed,staged and Performed the following Nrithashilpams:
1) Ramayanam
2) Ashtalakshmi
3) Prakrithi Vilapam. She is also regularly invited to join the Judging panel for Bharatha Natyam, Mohiniyattam, Kuchi Pudi, Folk Dance, Thiruvathira Kali competition at Schools, Colleges and Universities. Kumari Akshaya Gopalakrishnan. Akshaya Gopalakrishnan has been training in Bharatha Natyam under Vanitha Kurungattu from child hood. Currently she is a BSC Mathematics graduate student at NSS college Nemmara. She herself is a certified performer in Mohiniyattam from Kalamandalam. She has been delivering a pivot role in Nrithanjali taking care of 4 branches. A regular performer in Nrithanjali Programs, School and University programs. Along with Smt Vanitha Kurungattu, Akshaya Gopalakrishnan now wants to take Nrithanjali to the next level in terms of exposure and expansion. She has performed representing college in Zonal competitions, and all Nrithanjali staged programs at temples and traditional festival events.
