Orthotics and Prosthetics Professionals Association for Health and Rehabilitation (OPPAHAR) is a National level representative voluntary Organization, which looks after the interest of Prosthetics and Orthotics Professionals and graduate students as well as the well being of Persons with Physical Disability and Neuromuscular and Musculo-Skeletal Disorder at large. The Association is started with
the avowed Aims and objectives:
To create opportunity for the Prosthetics and Orthotics professionals in Government, Non-Govt and private organization for the better services for the persons with disability and neuromusculoskeletal disorders. To create awareness and promote the use of Prosthetics & Orthotics biomechanical devices. To serve the community using Prosthetics and Orthotics dimensions for the persons with physical disability and neuromusculoskeletal disorder as required. To maintain the standards of education and training in the field of Prosthetics & Orthotics. To promote Scientific Research and technology in Prosthetics and Orthotics and related areas to enhance the status of Prosthetics and Orthotics profession. To set and ensure the ethical professional practices and promote high professional standards of independent practice of Prosthetics and Orthotics by its members to provide quality service to the persons with disability and neuromusculoskeletal disorder. To serve as an advisory body of the Govt. of India, state Governments and other National & International organizations or institutions requiring technical assistance & guidance in matters of establishing councils, P&O education centres, departments, rehabilitation unit or other activities related to profession. To maintain the honor and dignity of Prosthetics and Orthotics profession. To engage in any other professional activities that may be considered advantageous to the profession and its members. All the Prosthetics and Orthotics Professionals (BPO Regular Mode) are requested to become the member of the Association to strengthen and achieve the above mentioned professional goal. The Membership is available in two category i.e. Life/Student Membership category. The membership fee is 500/- and 100/- respectively.
