IUBC - Faculty of Search and Rescue Trainers & Management Faculty of Search and Rescue Trainers & Management (FSRTM) is part of the Blue Cross & Blue Crescent Movement



Faculty of Search and Rescue Trainers & Management (FSRTM) is part of the Blue Cross & Blue Crescent movement, with branches of the faculty in every country where national Blue Cross Societies or Blue Crescent Societies operate. FSRTM members are all search and rescue specialist, rescue trainers and instructors, and rescue operations incident management personnel. Faculty personel are invo

lved in providing specialist search and rescue training classes and practical training within their Blue Cross & Blue Crescent chapters, to ensure chapter members have the skills required and are well prepared to work as a team to effectively respond to disaster incidents. Our mission is to introduce SAR training programs to our Blue Cross & Blue Crescent chapter members in disaster vulnerable regions around the world, so they have the skill required for the types of disaster situations likely to be encountered. To be accepted in to membership of this faculty association, you will need to be in membership of your local Blue Cross & Blue Crescent chapter Fellowship, and hold range of search and rescue, and rescue management certification, together with a range of experience working in rescue operations, earthquake, avalanche, tsunami and flood, fire rescue, sea rescue, mountain and cave rescue. Additionally, you will need to be providing training programs and instructing on the course within your chapter.

🔹 Avalanche, Tsunami & Flood Rescue
🔹 Fire, Sea, Mountain & Cave Rescue
🔹 Urban Search & Rescue (USAR) Operations
🔹 Emergency Incident Management & Disaster Coordination

🏆 Membership Criteria
To become an FSRTM member, you must:
✅ Be a registered member of your local Blue Cross & Blue Crescent chapter
✅ Hold certifications in SAR operations & management
✅ Have experience in real-life rescue operations
✅ Be actively training and instructing SAR personnel within your chapter
