Umeed Initiative is a Non Government Organization registered under Section 60 of the Indian Trust Act vide registration no. 3281, Book No.4 Vol. 3141 of 2013.It was established in 2013 to act as a conduit between people and the government and to reach out to people at the grass-root level. Today, the society is plagued by the evils of corruption, widespread abuse of human rights and indifference o
n the part of elected governments to remedy the situation. The underprivileged are too in-equipped to demand their rights. We plan to assist the people at the grass-root level by providing free legal aid & healthcare facilities, generating awareness and educating people about social issues and providing professional training to youth. Through this initiative, a forum will also be created whereby individual grievances of the people will be taken up with the appropriate departments through the use of various innovative tools. The organization will also create a platform to engage with the students, professionals, other civil society organizations in order to discuss and advocate various legal and policy reforms that have become necessary for proper governance of the state. With a young and hardworking core committee and a dedicated team of volunteers in Delhi, we hope we would be able to work effectively for the betterment of the society. We also plan to spread our movement to the rest of the country by establishing our chapters in other states very soon. TEAM UMEED INITIATIVE:
