MANTHAN- A Holistic education Program introduced by DJJS (Divya Jyoti Jagriti Sansthan in 2009 under theable guidance of His Holiness Shri Ashutosh Maharaj ji. It aims to reach out to the underprivileged children, who lacks financial support for learning and quality education. All over India there are 14 Centres, And One a such Centre is Established by Rotaract, SGGSCC at West Patel Nagar. It’s a
n initiative of converting a factory outlet into a supplementary school for the students of the adjoining slums of West Patel Nagar. The tasks of renovation, furnishing, and provision of basic amenities for the school was accomplished with the funds collected through rigorous efforts of all club members by use of donation slips. It has has been divided into two phases -

The project commenced on 5th January 2014. Enthusiastic Rotaractors paid frequent visits to the site – a factory donated by Sh. Sanjeev Berry. At the initial stages of converting the outlet into a habitable school, comprised the tasks of flooring, distempering of all walls and even fixation of tiles in the washroom. All these were undertaken and finished in a month. Other purchases like boards, furniture, tube lights etc took place simultaneously. The current structure includes 3 classrooms for nursery, class I and class II, 1 washroom and an open area which could be used as teacher’s lounge, reception area etc
UNFURLING MANTHAN
The Rotaract Club of S.G.G.S.C.C announced the launch of its mega project:
“UNFURLING MANTHAN” on 9th December 2014.The encouragement which was received in the form of blessings and the magnificent way in which it affected the lives of those kids busted us with the motivation to initiate such a step to expand our supplementary school; to touch more lives under the ‘ROTARY’s LITERACY MISSION’. The project this year includes the complete transformation of a cassette factory into a full-fledged primary school with additional classes from third to fifth, a library and an activity area with innovative teaching techniques to impart quality education. The club raised a sum of Rs. 55,000 through donation booklets. The project kick started on 9th December 2014 with the site inspection,planning followed by the renovation work and interior designing. The club now aims to mobilize and motivate slum children for a quality education at their institute Manthan. THIS IS NOT THE END.THIS IS JUST A BEGINNING TOWARDS A LITERATE INDIA.
