All India Association of Medical Social Work Professionals AIAMSWP is a national level organization dedicated to the promotion of standards and enhancement of the status of Social Work profession in health care.

All India Association of Medical Social Work Professionals, New Delhi (AIAMSWP): AIAMSWP is a non–profit, non-political, national level organization dedicated to the promotion of standards and enhancement of the status of Social Work profession in health care. AIAMSWP was established in 2009, following the concerns of professional Social Workers to cater to the need of having an organization at the national level. Since its inception, it has been making attempts to bring professional Social Workers on one platform so that a collective identity of the profession could emerge. AIAMSWP intends to fulfill the twin purposes of promoting Social Work profession in health care within the country together with safeguarding and protecting the interests of Social Work professionals working in health care. Its Secretariat is located at PGIMER, Chandigarh and President’s office is located at Safdarjung Hospital New Delhi

AIAMSWP made its third consecutive representation before the 8th Central Pay Commission at Chandralok Building, Janpath, New Delhi, following successful representations at Pune (4 May) and Kolkata (9 July).

President Smt. Poonam Dhanda and General Secretary Shri Raghavendra Kumar Rai represented the Association, with Vice President Shri Aftab Alam Shah coordinating the Delhi arrangements.

Our long-standing demands for and better * were strongly placed before the Commission.

Heartfelt thanks to all GB members and our former G.S., Dr. O.P. Giri, for their continuous support, guidance and encouragement.

*🌟 Congratulations to the Entire AIAMSWP Family! 🌟*

Dear Members,

It gives me immense pleasure to inform you all that **today, AIAMSWP successfully participated in its second consultation meeting with the 8th Central Pay Commission.** This is another proud milestone in our collective journey towards securing justice and recognition for the **Medical and Psychiatric Social Work Profession*

As many of you know, our **first consultation meeting** with the Commission was successfully held in **Pune on 4 May 2026**. Today's meeting is a clear reflection of our sustained efforts, commitment, and determination to ensure that the voice of our profession is heard at the highest policy-making level.

Under the dynamic leadership of **Dr. Narendra Kumar Singh, East Zone Secretary, AIAMSWP**, our Association once again strongly represented the aspirations and genuine concerns of Medical and Psychiatric Social Work before the **8th Central Pay Commission**.

**The major issues presented before the Commission included:**
✅ Higher Entry Pay Level
✅ Uniform Recruitment Rules & Designation
✅ Career Progression and Promotion Opportunities

This achievement belongs to every member of **AIAMSWP**. It is your trust, unity, and continuous support that have enabled our association to reach this stage. Together, we are building a stronger future for our profession.

I extend my heartfelt congratulations to every member of AIAMSWP on this important achievement.

I also express my sincere gratitude to our **President, Ms. Poonam Dhanda**, and all the **Governing Body Members of AIAMSWP** for their unwavering support and encouragement throughout this journey.
