APNA ASMAAN (NGO) has been opened with the aim and mission of providing a better tomorrow to the people for whom the doors of happiness have closed. The world for them has become heartless, blind and deaf, and cannot feel the pain of these poor and needy ones. They are the wandering eyes who are struggling for their life, fighting with their own self to live a life with the hope of a better tomorr
ow. Their children cannot get normal education. Their dream of seeing their child achieve great height cannot be fulfilled, they can’t afford the expense of the treatment if any of their family members fall ill, and cannot look after their elderly. The sufferings don’t end here. Their life is full of struggle, and lack of funds add on to the dreadful life even more. They don’t know whom to approach, where to go, what to do in the bad times of their life. No one likes to ask for help, but it’s the circumstances which force them to do what they would normally never do. APNA ASMAAN is a step to understand the needs and sufferings of the underprivileged and try to help them in their children’s education, providing medical treatment, assistance in surgeries and rehabilitation; providing aids and appliances to the disabled, empowering women, supporting orphan children, providing cretch facilities to the children of lower income group, vocational training to poor people, working for girl child development, shelter to the elderly, spreading awareness for AIIDS patients. We believe in the philosophy that “one should always bend down to lend a helping hand to lift someone up by all the means one can, by all the possible goods one can, in all the ways, at all the places, all the times, to all the people , as long as ever one can”. We can add meaning into our own life by devoting ourselves to loving others, devoting ourselves to our community around us, and devoting ourselves to creating something that gives us purpose and meaning. If we are fortunate enough we should lead people through the dark. An effort made for the happiness of others lifts us above ourselves. Our small effort can make a big change in someone’s life. As one person no one can change the world, but can change the world of at least one person. We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give. God has given us two hands, One is for helping our self and the other is for helping others. We can't help everyone, but everyone can help someone. Every day if we do a good deed, it will put a mile of joy on someone's face. APNA ASMAAN wants to reach the masses on the behalf of these poor and needy people. We are a medium between the ones who are suffering, looking for a help and the ones who can give a new meaning to their live by supporting them in their bad times. By working for this noble cause we can collectively transform a life. We can give a ray of hope, light a torch in someone’s darkened life.
