Direct Service
Direct service involves our psychosocial and legal helpline ABHA. As soon as people encounter a conflict situation and when they find themselves inadequate in resolving it, their emotional stability is affec
ted. It is precisely because of this THE PURNIMA FOUNDATION having thought of providing a safe and secure place where assistance and information is provided which is unbiased, accurate and non-discriminating. Resource sharing and capacity development
THE PURNIMA FOUNDATION believes in sharing of information as a valuable method of enriching oneself. Our capacity development programmes intend to enrich our own organization as well as our esteemed partners in the development field. We intend to develop our resource center as a place with information on various rights based issues and wish to bring closer groups who work in distant villages and develop the center as a meeting place where there can be mingling of like-minded people and a regular exchange of ideas which will enrich our endeavors to bring forth a violence free world. THE PURNIMA FOUNDATION raise fund by taking up capacity development programmes for various corporate houses and initiate a process of gender sensitivity and corporate social responsibility through trainings and organizing workshop for their employees. Awareness through advocacy and campaigning
We publish booklets, brochures, books, reports, and posters to maximize the extent to aware people on their rights. Apart from this THE PURNIMA FOUNDATION use the audiovisual media to aware people on various rights based issues. Much as we try to annihilate violence through our direct support and trainings, unless people are aware of their various rights and are vocal about it there is little or no chance that concerned authorities or perpetrators will take notice of the facts and try to undo the wrong done. This can only be done through extended and continuous campaigns. THE PURNIMA FOUNDATION takes part in campaigns that attempts to usher in a policy level change. Through our campaign participation we also intend to aware people about various issues of human rights violation, that otherwise remain in oblivion.
