Sankalp’s initiative to protect the education and safety of sugarcane workers’ children
Every year, many sugarcane-worker families migrate during the October–November harvesting season in search of livelihood opportunities. This seasonal migration can interrupt children’s education and increase their exposure to child labour, unsafe working conditions, and early marriage.
To address these risks, Sankalp Manav Vikas Sanstha, Pathri conducted pre-migration community meetings in villages across its operational area.
During these meetings, parents and community members were informed about:
The importance of ensuring that children do not accompany families to hazardous sugarcane-harvesting sites.
Seasonal hostels and other safe arrangements that help children continue their education while parents migrate.
Government welfare schemes, entitlements, and support available through the Loknete Gopinath Munde Sugarcane Worker Welfare Development Corporation.
Prevention of child labour and seasonal child marriage.
The importance of carrying identity and other essential documents during migration.
Maternal and child healthcare, emergency preparedness, and child-protection support services.
Through these community-level interventions, Sankalp is working with families to ensure that seasonal migration does not interrupt children’s education or compromise their safety.
Every child deserves education, protection, and a safe childhood—regardless of their family’s livelihood circumstances.

संकल्प मानव विकास संस्थेच्या वतीने जिल्हाधिकारी, मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी व जिल्हा शिक्षणाधिकारी यांना निवेदन;
परभणी जिल्ह्यातील स्थलांतरित पालकांच्या मुलांसाठी तात्काळ हंगामी वसतिगृह सुरू करण्याची मागणी.

परभणी जिल्ह्यातील ऊसतोड, वीटभट्टी, बांधकाम आणि इतर रोजगारासाठी मुंबई-पुणे व इतर ठिकाणी स्थलांतर करणाऱ्या पालकांच्या मुलांचे शिक्षण खंडित होऊ नये, यासाठी माहे ऑक्टोबर महिन्यातच तात्काळ हंगामी वसतिगृह सुरू करण्यात यावेत, अशी मागणी संकल्प मानव विकास संस्थेच्या वतीने करण्यात आली आहे. या संदर्भात संस्थेचे कार्यकारी संचालक सुधाकर क्षीरसागर यांच्या मार्गदर्शनाखाली संकल्प मानव विकास संस्थेच्या वतीने मा.जिल्हाधिकारी, मा.मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी आणि मा.जिल्हा शिक्षणाधिकारी यांना अधिकृत निवेदन सादर करण्यात आले.
या वर्षी जिल्ह्यात पावसाचे प्रमाण कमी असल्याने दुष्काळजन्य परिस्थिती निर्माण झाली आहे. गावांमध्ये स्थानिकांना पुरेसा रोजगार उपलब्ध नसल्याने जास्तीत जास्त ऊसतोड कामगार व इतर मजूर लवकरच स्थलांतर करण्याच्या तयारीत आहेत. कामाच्या शोधात बाहेर पडताना ही कुटुंबे आपल्या मुलांनाही सोबत घेण्याची मोठी शक्यता असते. मुलांच्या या स्थलांतरामुळे शाळेतील पटसंख्या घसरून गळतीचे प्रमाण वाढते. इतकेच नव्हे तर, यामुळे बालविवाह आणि बालमजुरीचे प्रमाण वाढण्याचाही गंभीर धोका निर्माण होतो.
ऑक्टोबर महिन्यात साखर कारखान्यांचा गाळप हंगाम सुरू होत असल्याने त्यापूर्वीच मुलांचे स्थलांतर रोखणे अत्यंत आवश्यक आहे. त्यामुळे प्रशासनाने गांभीर्याने दखल घेऊन ऑक्टोबर महिन्यातच हंगामी वसतिगृह सुरू करावेत, अशी आग्रही विनंती निवेदनाद्वारे करण्यात आली आहे.

A Step Towards a Government Hostel for Sugarcane Workers’ Children
Sankalp Manav Vikas Sanstha’s continued efforts have helped move forward the proposal for a 100-seat Sant Bhagwanbaba Government Hostel in Pathri for children of sugarcane workers.
Under the guidance of Mr. Sudhakar Kshirsagar, the organisation submitted a representation to the Loknete Gopinathrao Munde Sugarcane Workers Welfare Corporation, Pune. Following this, the Social Welfare Department, Parbhani, submitted the required ground report and estimated cost proposal.
The proposal is now moving towards administrative approval. We hope the hostel is approved and becomes operational soon, giving children of sugarcane workers better access to education and a more secure future.
A small step towards better education and greater opportunities. ✊📚

📢 Standing Up for the Rights of Construction Workers ✊
Sankalp Manav Vikas Sanstha is raising its voice against the decision to discontinue 11 important welfare schemes of the Maharashtra Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (MahaBOCW), including educational scholarships for children of construction workers, housing assistance and marriage support.
This decision is a serious setback for thousands of hardworking families and directly affects the education and future of their children.
Under the guidance of Mr. Sudhakar Kshirsagar, Head and Executive Director, Sankalp Manav Vikas Sanstha, an official representation was submitted on 12 August 2026 to the Government Labour Officer, Parbhani, addressed to the Chairman, Maharashtra Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, Mumbai.
Our key demands:
1️⃣ Immediately restore all 11 discontinued welfare schemes.
2️⃣ Do not take away workers’ existing rights and protections in the name of the new Social Security Code.
3️⃣ Clear all pending applications of eligible workers and students and release the due benefits without further delay.
Our efforts to protect the rights and entitlements of construction workers and their families will continue. If the government does not take a prompt and positive decision, Sankalp Manav Vikas Sanstha will initiate an awareness campaign to ensure that workers and their families are informed about their rights and benefits.

Every Girl Deserves the Right to Be Born, Live and Thrive.

On 5 August 2026, an awareness session on the PC-PNDT Act, 1994 was organised at the Taluka Legal Services Committee, Court, Pathri, with the participation of representatives from the Bar Association, court staff and Sankalp Manav Vikas Sanstha.

The session focused on understanding the law, preventing s*x selection and female foeticide, and strengthening awareness around the rights and protection of the girl child.

The discussion also highlighted the importance of knowing the legal provisions and taking collective responsibility to prevent practices that discriminate against girls even before birth.
At Sankalp Manav Vikas Sanstha, we believe that protecting a girl child begins even before she is born. Awareness, strong systems and collective action can help create a society where every girl is welcomed, protected and given an equal chance to grow.

A proud milestone for women's livelihoods!

Our production centres at Digha and Uran have successfully completed orders for 35,000 products, including bags, petals, and toran, received from different vendors.

For the 26 women involved, these orders mean more than production. They are an opportunity to put their training and skills into practice, earn an income and move towards greater economic independence and self-reliance.

आज दिनांक *28 जून 2026* रोजी राष्ट्रीय प्लस पोलिओ लसीकरण मोहिमेचे औचित्य साधून, *संकल्प मानव विकास संस्थेचे प्रमुख मा. सुधाकर क्षीरसागर यांच्या मार्गदर्शनाखाली* संस्थेच्या संपूर्ण टीमने कार्यक्षेत्रातील विविध गावांमध्ये सक्रिय सहभाग घेतला. बालकांचे आरोग्य आणि सुरक्षितता लक्षात घेऊन आजचा संपूर्ण दिवस 'पोलिओ मुक्ती' मोहिमेसाठी करण्यात आला आला.

🗣️ *जागृती आणि समुपदेशन:* पालकांमधील गैरसमज दूर करत, पोलिओ लसीकरणाचे महत्त्व पटवून देऊन बालकांना 'दोन थेंब' पाजण्यात मोलाची भूमिका बजावली.
उद्याच्या सक्षम पिढीसाठी आज संकल्प टीमने दिवसभर अत्यंत तळमळीने काम केले.
