देवाने प्रत्येक प्राण्याला ऊन, वारा, पाऊस, थंडीपासून वाचण्यासाठी जाड कातडी किंवा दाट केसांची भेट दिली. माणसाला मात्र नाजूक आणि केसविरहीत शरीर दिलं..
आणि मग यातून सुटका करण्यासाठी काही माणसांना मोठं मन दिलं. अशा मोठ्या मनाच्या माणसांच्या मदतीने आश्वास अनेकांना ब्लँकेट देऊ शकते.

२१ सप्टेंबरला २०२५ सर्वपित्री अमावस्या होती तरीही तेरुंगण,कोलटेम्भे, शिरपुंजे अशा अत्यंत दुर्गम भागातून लोकं आरोग्य तपासणी साठी आले होते .
भंडारदऱ्यातील शेंडी या गावात त्या दिवशी आश्वासची टीम आरोग्यशिबिरात गुंतली होती. तिथे झालेल्या तपासणीत एकूण ४२ पेशंट्सची मोतीबिंदू शस्त्रक्रिया करावी लागणार आहे असं निदान झालं.
त्यातील पहिल्या १० पेशंट्सची मोतीबिंदू शस्त्रक्रिया विनामूल्य तत्वावर डॉ.सुनील शेजवळ यांच्या नेत्रलक्ष्मी हॉस्पिटलमधे झाल्या.
या शस्त्रक्रिया विनाइंजेक्शन, विनाटाके आणि विनाबॅण्डेज, केवळ फोल्डेबल इन्ट्राअॉक्युलर लेन्स या आधुनिक तंत्रज्ञानाने यशस्वीरीत्या पार पडल्या.

या दहा जणांच्या डोळ्यावर पडलेले पटल दूर करणारे कुशल हात जरी डॉक्टरांचे असले तरी त्यासाठी लागणारे व्यवस्थापन आश्वास प्रतिष्ठानच्या सहृदय मदतकर्त्यांशिवाय पूर्ण करता आले नसते.
