HANDS OF COMPASSION celebrated the 80th Independence Day at Ashritha Old Age Home with the elderly residents and staff in a spirit of patriotism, joy, and togetherness.
Sri. N. Guravaiah Garu, Retd. MEO, participated as the Chief Guest and proudly hoisted the National Flag. The elders and staff joined the celebration with great enthusiasm and respect for the nation.
The programme highlighted the values of freedom, unity, dignity, and respect for our elders, making the occasion a memorable and meaningful celebration for everyone.

Observed International AIDS Candlelight Memorial
As per the instructions of APSACS and DISHA, the International AIDS Candlelight Memorial was observed on 17th May 2026. Sri.Ch. Aravinda Babu garu, MLA, Narasaraopet constituency participated as the Chief Guest. Dr. Madhavi Latha, DLATO, SK. Jani Basha, CPM, NGO PDs and staff,Red Cross members and health personnel actively participated in the programme. A rally was organized to remember and honour those who lost their lives to HIV/AIDS, to support people living with HIV, and to spread awareness on HIV prevention, treatment, care, and the importance of eliminating stigma and discrimination. The event also emphasized strengthening community participation and collective efforts towards achieving an AIDS-free society.
