Preparations Underway for Namchi Rankey Mela 2025: A Unique Cultural Extravaganza

Namchi, 25th June 2025 – The stage is being set for an extraordinary celebration of culture and community as a vital preparatory meeting for the Namchi Rankey Mela 2025 took place today. Scheduled for 16th and 17th July 2025, this much-anticipated event promises to be a memorable affair, bringing together the spirit of Namchi like never before.

The crucial meeting, held at the Conference Hall of the Namchi Town Hall, saw the convergence of key officials, dedicated committee members, and influential stakeholders. The objective was clear: to meticulously plan and ensure the seamless ex*****on of the upcoming Mela, a testament to the region's vibrant heritage.

Presiding over the discussions was the Hon’ble MLA of the 11-Namchi Singithang Constituency, and Chairman of the Denzong Agricultural Cooperative Society Ltd, Shri Satish Chandra Rai, who also serves as the Patron of the Namchi Rankey Mela Committee. He was joined by Shri Tashi Dorjee Tamang, CLC President and the President of the Namchi Rankey Mela Committee, alongside other executive members of the organizing body.

A detailed roadmap for the Mela was presented, followed by extensive deliberations involving District Collector Madam Anupa Tamling and officials representing all relevant line departments. The discussions spanned critical aspects of the event, including robust logistical arrangements, stringent security protocols, a captivating cultural program, and effective departmental coordination to ensure every detail is meticulously handled.

The meeting concluded with a unified and unwavering commitment from all present to make the Namchi Rankey Mela 2025 a resounding success. राँके मेला, एक पोषित स्थानीय चाड र नाम्चीको लागि एक प्रकारको अद्वितीय संस्कृति र समुदायको सधैं एक जीवन्त उत्सव हो,यसमा श्री आगम सिंह तामाङ, जसले परम्परागत राँके मेलालाई आकर्षक खेल र गतिविधिहरु को एकता संग जोडेर क्रान्तिकारी परिवर्तन गर्न धेरै हत सम्म सफल भए ।
जे होस्, सन् १९५३ मा श्री आगम सिंह तामाङले आफ्नो लोकप्रियताको फाइदा उठाउने अवसर देखे र नाम्ची पुरानो प्राथमिक विद्यालयको विकासको निम्ति
नवीन खेलहरू र प्रतियोगिताहरू प्रस्तुत गरेर, उनले महोत्सवलाई पुनरुत्थान मात्र गरेनन् तर धेरै आवश्यक कोष उठाउनको लागि एक गतिशील प्लेटफर्म पनि सिर्जना गरे।
श्री आगम सिंहको दृष्टिकोण रचनात्मक र समावेशी दुवै थियो, मेलामा सबैका लागि केही छ भनी सुनिश्चित गर्दै,
क्लासिक कार्निवल खेलहरू देखि समकालीन चुनौतीहरू सम्म, प्रत्येक गतिविधि सबै उमेर समूहहरूको सहभागितालाई प्रोत्साहित गर्दै मनोरञ्जन गर्न डिजाइन गरिएको थियो। परिवार र साथीहरू चाडपर्वको आनन्द लिन र साझा उद्देश्यलाई समर्थन गर्न एकसाथ आएकाले यस समावेशीताले सामुदायिक भावनालाई बढायो।
उहाँको प्रयासले समुदायका अरूलाई स्वयम्सेवा गर्न, दान गर्न र स्थानीय विकास परियोजनाहरूमा सक्रिय भूमिका लिन प्रेरित गर्‍यो।
यस परम्परागत कार्यक्रमलाई साकारत्मक दीर्घकालीन सम्म यथावत संरक्षण गर्न नाम्ची वासीले सधैं आफ्नो तत्परता देखाएको कारण यो मेला जीवित छ, सधै झै यस बर्ष पनि राँके मेला १६ र१७ जुलाई हर्ष उल्लासको साथमा विभिन्न पारम्परिक खेलकुद , नित्य , विभिन्न जातिको पाक पकवान पुष्प प्रदर्शनी , साइकलिङ, मेराथोन, जस्ता रोमाञ्चक मनोरञ्जन सकारात्मक कार्यक्रम लिएर नाम्ची वासी एकतामा क्रमबद्ध भएर तयारीमा जुटेका छौं।

Today, 4th June 2025 – First Coordination Meeting Held at SKM District Party Office for Rankey Mela Celebration

The first coordination meeting for the 2025 Rankey Mela Celebration was held today at the SKM District Party Office. During the meeting, the Executive Committee for the Rankey Mela 2025 was officially formed. The formation of various Sub-Committees is still pending and will be finalized in the upcoming meetings.

It was announced that the Second Coordination Meeting will be convened soon to expedite the preparations for the grand celebration.

The meeting was chaired by Hon’ble MLA of 11-Namchi Singithang Constituency, who, in his address, emphasized that this year’s Rankey Mela will be celebrated on a grander scale than ever before, promising a unique and memorable experience for all.
