Society For Environmental Conservation The area of the Society’s activity will be Indian Himalaya in general and the Uttarakhand Himalaya in particular.

To help exposing, establishing and promoting the natural resources, tourism, geological, botanical, historic and cultural aspects and community development as priority concerns to ensure their reasonable use to the Himalayan population. To add substantially to the monitoring, protection and conservation of societally relevant developmental projects and to help minimize the loss of resources throug

h various Teaching and Training (hereafter called as TAT) programmes being implemented or conducted in both government and non-goverenment sectors. To communicate the global warming science, provide coverage of climate change impacts on many aspects (e.g., tourism, sports/recreation, local government, health, business, agriculture, forestry and edu¬cation) and help the public understand ener¬gy consumption patterns in day-to-day lives and activities. To ensure the activities, e.g., dissemination of knowledge, publicize the outcome results and recommendations, publication of news columns/circulars/broachers/ bulletins/newsletters/books which have a bearing on the objectives of the society.
