Trees Have Rights Too | Nisarg Baithak – Session 01

Our first Nisarg Baithak brought together citizens, students, and nature enthusiasts for an engaging conversation on “Trees Have Rights Too – Understanding the Tree Act.”

Environmental lawyer Adv. Krishna Agrawal explained how the Tree Act protects trees, highlighted key provisions like Sections 8 and 21, and helped participants understand the legal rights, responsibilities, and procedures every citizen should know.

The evening was filled with thoughtful questions, meaningful discussions, and a shared commitment to becoming stronger guardians of nature.

Building a Nature Library, One Shelf at a Time🌿

Thousands of remarkable books on nature exist across India.
Many sit on personal bookshelves, in research institutions, or quietly tucked away in private collections—valuable resources that rarely reach the wider community.

What if those books could inspire hundreds of readers instead?
At Wild Agile Foundation, we're building a Nature Library—a community-driven environmental knowledge and resource centre dedicated to wildlife, biodiversity and conservation.

More than a collection of books, we're curating pathways into understanding the natural world.
From birds and mammals to biodiversity, environmental science, protected areas and natural history, each category helps readers explore a different dimension of nature.

This carousel is a guided tour through those categories—and a glimpse of the collection we're building for students, educators, researchers, nature enthusiasts and future conservationists.

Every meaningful initiative begins with a simple question.

For us, it was...
"Why isn't there a place dedicated entirely to learning about nature?"

A place where anyone—from a curious beginner to an experienced naturalist—can walk in, pick
up a book, and discover the incredible world of birds, wildlife, forests, biodiversity and
conservation.

That question became an idea. And today, that idea is taking shape as our Nature Library.

In this video, Dipti shares how this journey began. Because every movement starts with someone believing that something missing deserves to exist.💚
