📢 Update from Mantralaya Meeting (30 Sept 2025)

Today at Mantralaya, representatives of MARD, FAIMA, IMA & MAGMO placed doctors’ concerns before the Hon. Minister of Medical Education.

✅ Govt. acknowledged doctors’ concerns and emphasized that the integrity of modern medicine must be preserved. They highlighted that today’s situation is very different – many new medical colleges, surplus MBBS doctors, WHO ratio already surpassed, and rural bond doctors still awaiting jobs.

✅ Stipend continuation for JR-3 beyond 36 months was discussed and supported – action expected soon.

✅ Pravara incident – Principal Secretary Dhiraj Kumar will speak with the institute for transparent investigation.

✅ Hostel, academic & infrastructure issues were also noted for corrective action.

🩺 Unity of MARD, FAIMA, IMA & MAGMO ensured that all key issues were strongly represented, and positive assurances were received.

Central MARD met DMER Director Dr. Ajay Chandanwale sir to discuss issues like security, side rooms for residents, stipend regularization, and hostel infrastructure. He assured immediate action on these issues.

We also addressed the issue of JR3 residents completing their tenure before examinations, resulting in 2-3 months without pay. To prevent this in the future, exams should be conducted within 36 months of tenure .
