http://jsgkalpavruksh.com Imitation Jewellery Manufacturers Association (IJMA) was established in 1986 by few farsighted entrepreneurs with virtuous motives, aimed towards bringing together all manufacturers to collectively endeavour to enhance th
e status of the industry that was facing a grave survival crisis owing to lack of proper infrastructure for production, poor marketing system and government apathy. As of now, IJMA proudly boasts of having more than 1500 members under its wings, thanks to their joint efforts and commitment towards their objectives. It is dedicated to promote the Indian Imitation Jewellery Industry through organizing exhibitions, making representations to the government about problems faced by the industry and promote future trading. Along with these objectives, the role of IJMA is also to highlight the importance of global trading and encourage manufacturers to compete with their international counterparts like China, Korea, and Philippines etc. The founder members of IJMA made consistent efforts to provide required infrastructure for systematic marketing of fashion / imitation jewellery across the globe and bring into their fold the diverse section of the social fabric to patronize the industry. In furtherance to their endeavours, IJMA successfully organized two exhibitions of fashion / imitation jewellery in the year 1992 & 1994 while overcoming several hurdles. The founder members also cherished a dream to construct a ‘State of the Art’ marketing complex to provide a suitable platform to its members for trading of fashion / imitation jewellery across the globe. This dream was realized with the er****on of a huge ‘State of the Art’ marketing complex christened as IJMIMA Complex in Malad (W), Mumbai – 400 064. IJMA further expanded the entire gamut of their activities with aspirations to grow further by setting up branch offices across the length and breadth of the nation. Additional initiatives undertaken by the association involved promoting export of fashion / imitation jewellery by making representation to the Government of India to extend export incentives such as drawback DEPB and CCS on export of fashion / imitation jewellery. The association also aims to have its own export promotion council in future.
