This Rakshabandhan, Karunya Trust celebrated the festival of love and care across our communities. ✨

At Project Savli, our children got creative with colourful handmade Rakhis, tied them to each other and shared sweets, while parents spoke about what the festival really stands for: love, respect, care and family.

At Project Gyansaathi Govandi, our CRPC members spent the day with the residents of the Chembur Male Beggar Home, tying Rakhis, sharing sweets and, most importantly, sharing a little joy with people who don’t often get to celebrate festivals like this. ❤️

At our Gyansaathi Kalwa Centre, the children first explored the meaning and values behind Rakshabandhan and then got into the celebrations with Rakhis, sweets and plenty of smiles.

Because sometimes, celebrating a festival is simply about showing up, sharing a little happiness and making someone feel remembered. 💛

On 8 August 2026, 30 enthusiastic employees from IRIS RegTech Solutions Limited joined Karunya Trust for a Tree Plantation Drive under Project Green Hands, held at the Thane Forest Area, Kalyan Taluka.

Together, the volunteers planted 260 saplings, contributing to greener surroundings, healthier ecosystems, and a more sustainable future.

Beyond planting trees, the initiative was a celebration of teamwork, employee volunteering, and responsible corporate citizenship. Each sapling planted is a small step towards cleaner air, richer biodiversity, and a healthier environment for generations to come.

What happens when corporate volunteering meets community action? 👀

Through Karunya Trust’s Project Greenhands, we brought together purpose, people, and the planet for a meaningful day of community engagement.

With the enthusiastic participation of 70+ Deutsche Bank (Deutsche Bank) volunteers and 60 of our community beneficiaries, we planted 500 saplings. Beyond the plantation drive, the volunteers also visited a nearby rural tribal village where they interacted with community members and inaugurated two newly constructed homes provided to women beneficiaries under Project Nivas. It was a wonderful opportunity to witness firsthand how collective efforts can create lasting change in people's lives.

A heartfelt thank you to every Deutsche Bank volunteer who dedicated their time, energy, and enthusiasm to this initiative. Your willingness to step into the field, connect with the community, and contribute towards a shared purpose made the day truly memorable.

This initiative reflects the true spirit of CSR, where employee volunteering goes beyond participation to create meaningful social impact. Together, we're nurturing communities, strengthening partnerships, and building a better future.🤍🩵

15 Years of Learning, Growth & Hope!

Karunya Trust's Project Gyansaathi proudly celebrated its 15th Anniversary with an inspiring day filled with joy, memories, and meaningful learning.

The celebration brought together our students, youth, children, alumni, staff, and well-wishers to reflect on 15 years of transforming lives through education and community development. The programme featured cultural performances, a journey through Gyansaathi's 15-year impact, inspiring beneficiary stories, a karate demonstration, student felicitations, and a joyful cake-cutting ceremony.

Adding to the celebration, volunteers from Deutsche Bank (Deutsche Bank) conducted an engaging Financial Literacy Awareness Session, helping participants understand budgeting, saving, banking services, digital banking, financial planning, loans, and investment options. Their interactive session equipped participants with practical knowledge to make informed financial decisions.

Here's to 15 years of empowering children, youth, and communities, and to many more years of creating opportunities, inspiring dreams, and building brighter futures together. 💙

This Van Mahotsav, Karunya Trust planted over 500 saplings under Project Green Hands, in collaboration with the Thane Forest Department, Government of Maharashtra.

Each sapling is a small step towards a greener future, healthier ecosystems, and protecting the biodiversity around us. We're grateful to everyone who joined us in making this possible. 💚

A day that brought smiles, relief, and a new beginning at Kelani Tribal Hamlet 🔥

For the families here, water was more than just a daily need. It meant long walks, waiting, and carrying the weight of a struggle that had become part of everyday life.

But the community never stopped hoping!!!

On 20 June 2026, the Sujal Project was inaugurated at Kelani Tribal Hamlet in the presence of Fr. Lijo Velliyamkandathil, Director of Karunya Trust, Mr. Tom K. Thomas, Former Executive Vice President R &D and Project at CEAT Ltd, and Mr. Rajesh Bhoir, Sarpanch, along with the villagers who made this journey meaningful.

This was not just the inauguration of a borewell, it was a celebration of resilience, dignity, and a community that came together to create change 🤍🩵
