Over 125 years ago, in the year 1886, some prominent visionary CKPs, Shri Malhar Khanderao Chitnis, Shri Kashinath Babaji Pradhan, Sir Gangadharrao Madhavrao Chitnis, Shri Balkrishna Atmaram Gupte, Sir Raghunath Vyankoji Sabnis and Sir Shankarrao Madhavrao Chitnis realized the value of learning and knowledge; and that Education was the means of guiding the community into the future. These gentleme
n together formed an institution to offer financial assistance to promote higher education among poor and deserving students from the CKP community. The Society was registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI on 4th July 1900. Ever since that day, The CKP Education Society has been facilitating students of the community to aspire and obtain higher education. The CKP Education Society has, for the last century and longer, been instrumental in raising deserving youth from the CKP community, providing interest free Education Loans and being instrumental in their achieving high positions in contemporary society. They, in turn, have further augmented our resources to assist more deserving students from the community gain higher professional educational qualifications. The cycle continues to this day, and we work to ensure that it would remain so far into the future. In addition to interest free loans, the CKP Education Society gives grants to purchase books and instruments / tools, prizes and conducts relevant training programs and courses. The Society supports students to participate in national level sports, competitions and events and to prepare for Administrative and Competitive Examinations.
