This time, we asked our nutritionist a question we've heard many parents talk about:

"How can we make dal more exciting for kids?" 🥣✨

Since many children aren't big fans of dal, we wanted to know what simple changes can make it more fun, tasty, and appealing without compromising on nutrition.

Do you have a question you'd like us to ask our nutritionist? Drop it in the comments below—we'd love to hear from you! 💛

The first time we read about , six months back, we did not move on from it.

It was the news of nearly 60 children losing their lives due to lack of proper nutrition. We sat with that. Because these were not numbers. They were lives.

Over time, Melghat kept coming back into our conversations. We read, we asked questions, and eventually, we went there to see and understand for ourselves.

One question stayed with us throughout.

If we are working in nutrition, how can we not look at a place like this?

That is when we came across

What stood out immediately was that their team is from Melghat itself. People who understand the realities from within. There is a depth to that kind of work that cannot be replicated.

Recently, we hosted , co founder of Sadaya Foundation, along with his team member Ratan, at our kitchen. What was meant to be a two hour conversation felt much shorter.

There was a lot to share, and even more to learn.

Somewhere in that exchange, we began to see a shared intent. To work together, thoughtfully and responsibly.

Melghat is new for us. It will take time to understand and contribute meaningfully. But this felt like a beginning.

A first step.

And a shared belief that one day, together, SāmyaIndia and Sadaya Foundation can work towards ensuring that no child loses their life simply because they did not have access to proper nutrition.

Not every problem needs the same solution.

Some of our children fall below the 3rd percentile in height, weight, and BMI—and they need more than just a regular meal.

So we created something special to support their growth, help them catch up, and give their bodies what they truly need.

That’s how the IncrEdible Bar came to life. 💛

In many conversations, we work through different programs, each with its own structure, intention, and way of engaging with need.

Sāhāya sits in a different dimension of that work.

Because crisis is not gradual, it is immediate.
It does not arrive in stages or schedules. It arrives suddenly, fully formed, and real.

And in that moment, the work is not about planning, it is about presence.

Sāhāya is that space of response where immediacy meets responsibility.

When we first designed our programs, we chose WhatsApp to stay connected with parents.
But honestly, we were unsure. Would they respond? Would they engage? Would anyone really care?

There were more doubts than answers.
And then, slowly… something shifted.
Four months later, these groups have become more than just a platform.
They’ve become a space of trust.
Parents aren’t just receiving updates — they’re sharing.
About their children.
What they eat, what they love, what they resist.
Little moments from their everyday lives.
And in those small messages, we see something big — care, involvement, and a willingness to grow together.

As a team, we try to keep things engaging.
But what truly gives our work depth is this connection.
It’s a quiet relief… to not just work for children,
but to walk with their parents.
Because when that happens, growth doesn’t just begin — it deepens 💛🌱

🍏 What we call “healthy” isn’t always kind to us…

Bright juices, packaged pulps, sugary snacks—they’re normalized, but behind the colors and labels are hidden sugars, preservatives, and chemicals.

Children taste it, grow up thinking it’s normal… and that shapes a lifetime.

But we have the power to change it. 🌱
Real fruits, homemade snacks, mindful choices—small steps that protect health, spark joy, and teach the next generation what truly matters. 💛
