He started village reconstruction in year 1985 and founded Society for Equitable Voluntary Actions with farmers and village youth. The society registered on year 1986 and started activities on Mother and Child Health Care, Children Education, Farm and non Farm Based Livelihood Development and social forestry. He is became a legend of communal harmony. SEVA still organizing a fair in the name of first métier of India Titumir Nisher Ali. He gave his life in 1831 for the cultivators irrespective of communal identity. A hero of communal amity and poor Indigo Cultivators. There is only one instance when a Hindu worker has been allowed to address a Muslim congregation. My nominee has addressed a Muslim population of 10000 people assembled after the Id was over. This shows his acceptance. He was active in creating communical understanding after the demolition of Babri mosque by Hindu Radicals in 1992. He organised a peace rally of 2000 cyclists, lead by 500 girl students. The juvenile procession covered forty villages of Baduria Block for six hours. This rally created a secular understanding the communal anger among two communities. The North 24 Parganas District is a very crucial position. It is very near from Indo-Bangladesh Border and Capital of State Kolkata one of the populist Metro City in India.

গত 22/10/2025 প্রতি বছরের মতোই কালীপূজা ও দীপাবলী উপলক্ষ্যে আয়োজিত অঙ্কন প্রতিযোগিতায় যোগদানের জন্য আনন্দকেন্দ্রের আবাসিক ও কর্মীরা বাদুড়িয়া থানায় আমন্ত্রিত হয়েছিলেন। দুপুরের খাবারেরও নিমন্ত্রণ ছিল। খিচুড়ি, তরকারি, পায়েস দিয়ে খাওয়া শেষ হলে অংকন প্রতিযোগিতা শুরু হলো। বিষয় ছিল - কালীপূজা। আনন্দকেন্দ্রের আবাসিকেরা এবং অন্যান্য শিশু ও কিশোরেরা প্রতিযোগিতায় অংশ গ্রহণ করে। প্রতিযোগিতা শেষে প্রতিযোগীদের হাতে মিষ্টির প্যাকেট, ড্রয়িং খাতা ও রং তুলে দেওয়া হয়। মঞ্চে উপস্থিত পুলিশকর্তাদের সম্বর্ধনা জানানোর পর বাদুড়িয়া থানা থেকে উদ্ধার করা চুরি - যাওয়া মোবাইল ফোনগুলি প্রকৃত মালিকের কাছে ফিরিয়ে দেওয়া হয়।
অংকন প্রতিযোগিতায় প্রথম স্থান অধিকার করেছে অনু শিকদার, দ্বিতীয় - চন্দনা, তৃতীয় - নুসরাত পারভীন, চতুর্থ - যুগ্মভাবে পিউ ও অঙ্কিতা এবং পঞ্চম - ইটোরি মুর্মু। এরা প্রত্যেকেই পুরস্কার হিসাবে গাছ পেয়েছে। জাম, জামরুল, আম বা বেদানা গাছ। আবাসিকদের সকলের হাতেই নতুন পোষাক, ড্রয়িং খাতা ও রং পেন্সিল উপহার তুলে দেওয়া হয়। আনন্দকেন্দ্রের সকল আবাসিক এবং কর্মীদের বাদুড়িয়া থানা থেকে মিষ্টির প্যাকেট দেওয়া হয়। বাদুড়িয়া পুলিশ প্রশাসন আমাদের আনন্দকেন্দ্র হোমের বিশেষ প্রশংসা করেন ও হোমের কর্মীদের ভূয়সী প্রশংসা করেন। পুরস্কারের গাছগুলি আমরা হোমে বা গ্রামের অন্যত্র যত্ন সহকারে রোপণ করব।

Similar to last years, heavy rainfall has once again caused severe damage in Makaltala, significantly affecting the lives of the residents.

Recognizing the urgency of the situation, SEVA had coordinated with Ramakrishna Sarada Mission and Rotary Club of Kolkata to provide the relief materials.

Thanks to their generous support, mosquito nets and blankets were distributed today to the affected families, helping to bring some comfort and protection.

We deeply appreciate the timely collaboration and compassion extended by all those involved in this humanitarian effort.

In the flood affected area of Makaltala, North 24 PGS a very crucial Health Check-up camp was held on 21.08.2025 with the help of GNRC Hospital , supported by Birla Corporation Ltd and organised by SEVA .

Dr. Nurul Hasan(General physician, MD) along with 5 other medical practitioners from GNRC Hospital covered blood pressure check-up and blood sugar check-up, step-by-step medical examination, diagnosis, ECG, proper counseling, and medication.

76 community members were treated, 15 underwent ECG examination.

Except for heart problems and high blood pressure; water borne skin problems, fever, cold, cough and gastro problems were detected and requisite medicine were provided.

Adults including women, children and teenagers attended this health camp which has given ray of hope to the community in this prevailing difficult situation.

We, along with the community members, are thankful to
GNRC Hospital for their service, and specially to Birla Corporation Ltd for their extensive support.

A Mothers group meeting was held at Makaltala, North 24 PGS for the mothers of tribal community on the special occasion of the World Tribal Day.

Food and nutrition. This topic was discussed in detail focusing on nutrition
needed by the body. The participants were divided into two groups and the group prepared a chart of foods, vegetables and fruits of different colours and also presented the charts to everyone through a participatory process.
Awareness was raised on the nutrition, hygiene and food preparation by conserving the nutritional value.

Health care during pregnancy
The focus was on how pregnant mothers should take care of themselves, their nutritional intake and how to contact health centers.

Awareness on Breast Cancer
With the increasing incidences of breast cancer, women should pay attention to any physical changes in their bodies. This session gave an idea about how to perform a self breast examination in 3 Easy steps.

In the feedback session the mothers shared that this session would help them to keep themselves healthy and develop good habits.

We are happy to share that a successful health check-up camp was organized at Rajabagan in collaboration with Karkinos Medella Oncology Institute, in Rajabagan, Baranagar on 25/06/2025. A total of 31 individuals from the local community availed the health services provided at the camp.

Alongside the health initiative, a cloth distribution drive was also conducted to support the underprivileged. 48 members of the community contributed a token amount of Rs.5/- to support the cloth distribution. Additionally, by courtesy of East India Pharmaceuticals, ORS drinks were distributed among children to promote hydration and to prevent dehydration during the summer months.

The event was well-received and appreciated by the community. We extend our sincere thanks to all who contributed to make this initiative meaningful.

On World Environment Day, SEVA launched Heat Stress Management Training for women farmers at Makaltala as part of HER+ program of IRRI. Notably, one pharma company provided ORS through their CSR initiative, which was distributed during the training to support farmers' health and resilience against rising temperatures.
