A giant has fallen in Vizag.
This 15 foot whale shark was found on Yarada Beach. She was just a juvenile. She was supposed to live for over a century and grow to 60 feet. Instead, her journey ended in the sand.
The most moving part of this tragedy? The local fishermen who stayed by her side, desperately trying to guide her back to the deep. This is the raw reality of our coast: a deep connection to the sea met with a crisis we are still learning to manage.
These giants have survived since the time of the dinosaurs. We cannot let them vanish on our watch.
Action over awareness.
Community over apathy.
