Founder’s Day and World Thinking Day Celebration 2026
Vallabh Rover and Ranger Unit, Mandi

The Rover and Ranger Unit of Vallabh Government College, Mandi celebrated Founder’s Day and World Thinking Day on 21 February 2026 (Saturday), as 22 February fell on a Sunday. The program was organized under the able guidance of Rover Leader Dr. Shivendra Sagar and Ranger Leader Dr. Vandana Chauhan.

The ceremony began with the hoisting of the Scouting flag, followed by a prayer assembly. On this significant occasion, the cadets paid tribute to the founder of the Scout Movement, Robert Baden-Powell, and remembered his remarkable contribution towards character building and youth development across the world.

Keeping in view this year’s theme, the volunteers pledged to promote global unity, international friendship, and to raise awareness against social evils. The cadets organized a poster exhibition highlighting the importance of Scouting values and participated in group discussions to emphasize leadership, discipline, teamwork, and service to society.The Rover and Ranger Leaders motivated the cadets to follow the noble ideals of Robert Baden-Powell and adopt the motto “Service Before Self” in their daily lives. They encouraged the students to actively contribute towards nation-building and social harmony.

The celebration enhanced leadership qualities, confidence, and a spirit of service among the students. The program concluded with a vote of thanks and the National Anthem..

Participation in State-Level Republic Day Parade 2026

The Vallabh Rover and Ranger Unit of Vallabh Government College, Mandi actively participated in the Pre-RDC Selection Camp organized from 25 December 2025 to 30 December 2025 at STC Rewalsar (State Training Centre, BSGHP), District Mandi. A total of 6 Rovers and 6 Rangers represented the unit in the camp. During the training period, participants demonstrated commendable performance in parade drill, discipline, physical fitness, and coordinated group practice.After the successful completion of the Pre-RDC Selection Camp, 5 Rangers and 3 Rovers from the unit were selected for the State-Level Republic Day Parade held in Shimla. The selected members further attended state-level rehearsal camps, where they received intensive training in parade formation, drill commands, and teamwork.
This achievement was made possible under the effective leadership and continuous guidance of Rover Leader Shivendra Sagar and Ranger Leader Vandana Chauhan. Under their direction, the Rover-Rangers displayed exemplary discipline, service spirit, and leadership qualities from the Pre-RDC Camp to the final State-Level Parade.The participation and selection of the unit members in such a prestigious event brought pride and recognition to the college and highlighted the dedication and excellence of the Vallabh Rover and Ranger Unit.

Two Rovers and two Rangers from the Vallabh Rover and Ranger Unit of VallabhGovernment College, Mandi were selected for Service at the 19th National Jamboree, heldfrom 23rd November to 29th November 2025. They successfully provided service invarious activities and programs at the national level. Their dedication, discipline, andteamwork were commendable. This achievement was a matter of pride not only for theparticipants but also for the entire college and unit, further strengthening the values ofscouting and the spirit of service.

1st National Rover and Ranger Jamboree

From 9 to 13 January 2026, in the First National Rover-Ranger Jamboree held in Chhattisgarh, the Rover-Ranger Unit of Vallabh Government College, Mandi actively participated and brought pride not only to the college but also to the entire state of Himachal Pradesh at the national level. Among teams from different states across the country, the college team created a distinct identity through discipline, dedication, and multifaceted talent.In this national jamboree, a total of 6 Rovers and 3 Rangers from the college participated as contestants, while 2 Rangers and 1 Rover served as members of the service team. The service team played an important role in organizing, coordination, and assisting participants, truly reflecting the spirit of scouting service.During the jamboree, the Rover-Rangers enthusiastically participated in march past, folk dance-based cultural performances, state-level exhibitions, food plaza activities, and several literary, academic, and personality development competitions. Through these activities, they effectively presented the rich folk culture of Himachal Pradesh, disciplined lifestyle, and the core values of Scouts and Guides. The team’s confidence and teamwork at every platform became a source of inspiration for both the audience and the organizers.The team was led by Ranger Leader Vandana Chauhan and Rover Leader Shivendra Sagar. Under their capable guidance, continuous motivation, and disciplined training, the unit delivered excellent performances in all activities. Their visionary leadership further strengthened the participants’ sense of responsibility, leadership skills, and social awareness.Overall, the First National Rover-Ranger Jamboree proved to be an effective platform for connecting youth through cooperation, brotherhood, discipline, and national unity. The participation of Vallabh Government College, Mandi’s Rover-Ranger Unit in this historic event was truly commendable, inspiring, and a matter of pride.

Date: 11th to 15th November 2025

Five Rovers of the Vallabh Rover–Ranger Unit participated in a Tritiya Sopan Service Camp organized at STC Rewalsar from 11th to 15th November. The camp was conducted in accordance with the guidelines and principles of WOSM (World Organization of the Scout Movement) and WAGGGS (World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts).
The main objective of the camp was to promote leadership, discipline, self-reliance, and a spirit of service among the Rovers and Rangers. During the camp, the participants actively engaged in various service activities, teamwork exercises, and camp responsibilities as part of the Tritiya Sopan training.

All five Rovers performed their duties with dedication, sincerity, and enthusiasm, reflecting the core values of Scouting and Guiding.
The camp proved to be highly beneficial and educational. It enhanced the participants’ leadership skills, sense of responsibility, and understanding of the global Scouting and Guiding movements under WOSM and WAGGGS.

वल्लभ रोवर्स एवं रेंजर्स यूनिट ने भारत स्काउट्स एवं गाइड्स (BSG) का 75वाँ स्थापना दिवस अत्यंत उत्साह और हर्षोल्लास के साथ मनाया। कार्यक्रम की शुरुआत ध्वजारोहण समारोह से हुई। इसके पश्चात निवेश समारोह आयोजित किया गया, जिसमें नए रोवर्स और रेंजर्स को यूनिट में सम्मिलित किया गया तथा उन्हें प्रवेश बैज और स्कार्फ प्रदान किए गए।
इसके बाद हमारी एक रेंजर द्वारा वार्षिक प्रतिवेदन प्रस्तुत किया गया। कार्यक्रम को आगे बढ़ाते हुए रोवर्स और रेंजर्स द्वारा विभिन्न सांस्कृतिक प्रस्तुतियाँ दी गईं, जिनमें शास्त्रीय नृत्य, हमारी पारंपरिक नाटी तथा स्काउटिंग की थीम पर आधारित एक नाटक शामिल था।
कार्यक्रम के अंत में हमारे मुख्य अतिथि माननीय प्राचार्य महोदय ने सभी को बधाई दी और एक प्रेरणादायक संबोधन प्रस्तुत किया। हमारे रोवर लीडर डॉ. शिवेंदर सागर ने भी सभी को शुभकामनाएँ दीं और इस विशेष अवसर पर उत्साहवर्धक विचार साझा किए।

वीजीसी मंडी में राष्ट्रीय एकता दिवस समारोह पर रिपोर्ट

31 अक्टूबर 2025 को वल्लभ राजकीय महाविद्यालय, मंडी में सरदार वल्लभभाई पटेल—भारत के लौह पुरुष एवं राष्ट्रीय एकीकरण के शिल्पकार—की जयंती के उपलक्ष्य में राष्ट्रीय एकता दिवस (राष्ट्रीय एकता दिवस) बड़े उत्साह के साथ मनाया गया।
इस कार्यक्रम का आयोजन एनएसएस इकाई द्वारा किया गया, जिसमें महाविद्यालय की रोवर्स एवं रेंजर्स इकाई तथा एनसीसी कैडेट्स ने भी सहभागिता की। संपूर्ण समारोह ने एकता, देशभक्ति और राष्ट्रीय गौरव की सच्ची भावना को प्रतिबिंबित किया।
कार्यक्रम की शुरुआत एक ऊर्जावान एकता रैली से हुई, जिसमें विद्यार्थियों ने शांति, सद्भाव और भाईचारे को बढ़ावा देने वाले बैनरों और नारों के साथ मार्च किया। यह रैली सरदार वल्लभभाई पटेल की उस दूरदृष्टि को सजीव रूप में प्रस्तुत करती थी, जिसके अंतर्गत उन्होंने रियासतों का एकीकरण कर एक सशक्त और एकीकृत भारत का निर्माण किया।
रैली के पश्चात राष्ट्रीय एकता एवं सरदार वल्लभभाई पटेल के जीवन पर आधारित पोस्टर मेकिंग, रील मेकिंग तथा वाद-विवाद (घोषणा/डिक्लेमेशन) प्रतियोगिताएँ आयोजित की गईं। विद्यार्थियों ने इन गतिविधियों में उत्साहपूर्वक भाग लिया और अपनी रचनात्मकता, प्रतिभा तथा समर्पण का उत्कृष्ट प्रदर्शन किया। डिक्लेमेशन प्रतियोगिता में दिए गए भाषण विशेष रूप से प्रेरणादायक और देशभक्ति से ओतप्रोत थे।
वीजीसी मंडी के प्राचार्य ने सभी प्रतिभागियों और इकाइयों के प्रयासों की सराहना की तथा विद्यार्थियों को सरदार वल्लभभाई पटेल के आदर्शों का अनुसरण करते हुए एक एकजुट और प्रगतिशील राष्ट्र के निर्माण हेतु कार्य करने के लिए प्रेरित किया।

दिनांक: 16 अक्टूबर, 2025

वल्लभ रोवर्स और रेंजर्स यूनिट मंडी ने 16 अक्टूबर को स्थानीय अनाथालय में दिन बिताने का निर्णय लिया, ताकि बच्चों के साथ समय बिताया जा सके और उनके साथ समय से पहले प्री-दीवाली मनाई जा सके। हम दोपहर लगभग 2:00 बजे अनाथालय पहुँचे। बच्चे उस समय स्कूल में थे, इसलिए हमने इस शांत समय का उपयोग अपनी गतिविधियों की योजना बनाने और तैयारी करने में किया। हमने कुछ समय झूले पर बैठकर बिताया और बच्चों के लौटने का बेसब्री से इंतज़ार किया।

3:30 बजे अनाथालय बच्चों की आवाज़ों से गूँज उठा जब सभी बच्चे स्कूल से लौट आए। वे हमें देखकर बेहद उत्साहित और खुश थे।

हमने अपनी मुलाकात की शुरुआत एक दोस्ताना परिचय सत्र से की, ताकि बच्चों के साथ सहजता से मेलजोल हो सके। इसके बाद हमने उन्हें ताज़े फल, चॉकलेट और पारंपरिक मिठाइयाँ वितरित कीं, जिन्हें पाकर उनके चेहरे पर तुरंत मुस्कान खिल उठी।

इसके बाद हम मैदान में मज़ेदार और जोशीली गतिविधियों के लिए इकट्ठा हुए। हमने कई खेल खेले, जिनमें म्यूज़िकल चेयर्स, एक रचनात्मक ड्रॉइंग प्रतियोगिता और एक मज़ेदार गुब्बारा-खेल शामिल था। बच्चों की खुशी देखने लायक थी; सभी बच्चे अत्यंत उत्साहित थे और रोवर्स-रेंजर्स ने भी पूरी तरह भाग लिया। इन गतिविधियों ने दोपहर को सभी के लिए यादगार बना दिया।

सत्र का समापन एक विशेष उपहार-वितरण समारोह से हुआ। हमने अनाथालय को कई खेल-संबंधी उपहार दिए, जिनका उद्देश्य बच्चों में टीमवर्क और खेल भावना को बढ़ावा देना था—जैसे कैरम बोर्ड, शतरंज सेट, क्रिकेट बैट और बॉल, वॉलीबॉल, फुटबॉल तथा कुछ अन्य छोटी वस्तुएँ। इन उपहारों को बच्चों ने बहुत खुशी के साथ स्वीकार किया, और ये उनके लिए आगे कई मनोरंजक क्षणों का वादा करते हैं।

दिन के अंत में, हमने बच्चों और स्टाफ को अलविदा कहा, बच्चों को अग्रिम दीपावली की शुभकामनाएँ दीं और स्टाफ का उनके सहयोग और आतिथ्य के लिए धन्यवाद किया। बच्चों के चेहरों पर सच्ची खुशी देखकर हमारा पूरा दिन सार्थक हो गया। हम अनाथालय से लौटते समय बेहद प्रसन्न थे कि हमने उनके दिन में एक छोटा सा सकारात्मक योगदान दे पाए।

निपुण कैंप 2025

वल्लभ राजकीय महाविद्यालय मंडी की रोवर–रेंजर इकाई ने 8 अक्टूबर से 13 अक्टूबर 2025 तक आयोजित निपुण कैंप में प्रतिभाग किया। रोवर सेक्शन के 5 लड़कों ने इस कैंप में सक्रिय रूप से भाग लिया।

यह प्रशिक्षण एस.टी.सी. रिवालसर (स्टेट ट्रेनिंग सेंटर), जिला मंडी में आयोजित किया गया, जहाँ रोवर्स को सुव्यवस्थित मार्गदर्शन तथा आवश्यक स्काउटिंग कौशलों का व्यावहारिक प्रशिक्षण प्रदान किया गया। उन्होंने अनुशासन, टीमवर्क, काउंटिंग तथा अन्य कई स्काउटिंग तकनीकों को नियमित सत्रों, गतिविधियों और ड्रिल्स के माध्यम से सीखा।

सभी पाँचों रोवर्स ने पूरे कैंप के दौरान अत्यंत उत्साह और समर्पण दिखाया। उनके ईमानदार प्रयासों ने उन्हें निपुण स्तर को सफलतापूर्वक पूरा करने में सक्षम बनाया।

यह कैंप उनके आत्मविश्वास, नेतृत्व क्षमता, टीम भावना और स्काउटिंग दायित्वों की व्यावहारिक समझ को बढ़ाने में अत्यंत लाभदायक सिद्ध हुआ।

7 अक्टूबर को वल्लभ सरकारी महाविद्यालय मंडी की रोवर्स एवं रेंजर्स यूनिट ने सिविल डिफेंस विभाग के सहयोग से एक सिविल डिफेंस प्रशिक्षण एवं जागरूकता कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया।

यह सत्र अधिकारी तारा चंद द्वारा संचालित किया गया, जिन्होंने अग्नि सुरक्षा, आपदा प्रबंधन और रेस्क्यू तकनीकों के बारे में विस्तृत जानकारी प्रदान की। विद्यार्थियों ने आपात स्थितियों में प्रभावी ढंग से प्रतिक्रिया देने के तरीकों को सीखा तथा लाइव डेमोंस्ट्रेशन और ड्रिल्स में हिस्सा लिया।

यह कार्यक्रम अत्यंत लाभदायक सिद्ध हुआ, क्योंकि प्रतिभागियों ने संकट की स्थितियों को जिम्मेदारी और आत्मविश्वास के साथ संभालने का आवश्यक ज्ञान प्राप्त किया। इस प्रशिक्षण ने सभी सदस्यों में टीमवर्क, अनुशासन और जागरूकता को प्रोत्साहित किया।
