Young Writers Honoured at Literary Awards Ceremony in New Delhi
New Delhi:
The ZICE Foundation 01, in collaboration with the Global Academic Forum, hosted an awards ceremony in New Delhi to honour young writers and researchers for their contributions to literature and contemporary studies.
The event, held at Iqra Learning Academy in Jamia Nagar, was presided over by Prof. Abu Turab of the University of Delhi. The Chief Guest was Masood Alam Nadvi, Director of Darul Bahs wal-Ilam, Lucknow. Dr. Mohd Raghibul Haque, Translator at the Supreme Court of India, attended as Guest of Honour. The programme was moderated by Md Sadan Nadwi.
In his opening address, Ammar Jami, General Secretary of the Global Academic Forum, highlighted the importance of language, literary values, and research culture in shaping society. He also outlined the forum’s ongoing academic initiatives and congratulated the award recipients.
Quamruz Zaman Nadwi, Director of zice Foundation, stressed in his message that the promotion of positive and meaningful literature helps nurture social awareness. He added that the foundation remains committed to encouraging young writers who contribute to intellectual development and constructive thinking.
Two awards were presented during the ceremony:
ایس ایم حسینی received the Maulana Abdul Majid Daryabadi Award 2025 for his travelogue "Pukarte Hain Raaste", which has completed two editions and gained wide readership for its literary quality and insights.
Salim Birjees Nadvi was conferred the Qazi Mujahidul Islam Award 2025 for his research work "Cryptocurrency: Reality, Nature and Rulings", a study examining digital currency from an Islamic jurisprudential perspective.
Addressing the audience, Mohd Raghibul Haque spoke on the social responsibility of writers and the importance of producing thoughtful and high-quality literature. Chief Guest M Masood Alam Nadvi emphasised the role of language accuracy, disciplined study, and reading culture in building scholarly excellence.
In his presidential remarks, Prof. Abu Turab stated that nurturing young scholars and writers is essential for the intellectual progress of any society and called for stronger institutional support for emerging voices in literature and research.
The event was attended by academics, writers, researchers, and students from across the region including Dr. MD Monazir Hussain , Mohammad Sauban, Abdullah Zubair Nadwi , Advocate Z R Karimi, Ziyaur Rahman, Mohammad Asjad and others.
