On 10.10.2026, Dr. R.P. Singh, Chairman, Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board (UPPCB), presided over UPPCB's 118th Board Meeting at UPPCB Headquarters, Lucknow. The meeting was attended by Shri Sanjeev Kumar Singh, Member Secretary, UPPCB, Ms. Neerja Saxena, Special Secretary,Environment & Forest, GoUP, Board Members Shri Bikhari Prajapati and Shri Rajendra Prasad Pal and representatives of Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam and Invest UP.

The meeting centred on detailed deliberations concerning employee welfare and service benefits. Three key proposals considered are the adoption of provisions of the Uttar Pradesh Corporation for Outsource Services (UPCOS), Leave Travel Concession (LTC) for employees, and healthcare facilities for serving and retired employees.

These decisions reflect UPPCB’s commitment to employee welfare, the expansion of service benefits and the strengthening of its administrative framework, alongside its continued mandate of environmental protection.

On 06.10.2026, Dr. R. P. Singh, Chairman, U. P. Pollution Control Board, participated as an expert panelist at Urban Adda ’26 organised by Raahgiri Foundation and Gurujal at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi, along with Shri Jayesh Ranjan (IAS),Special Chief Secretary, Government of Telangana,Dr. Debolina Kundu, Director, National Institute of Urban Affairs and Dr. Yash Pal (IAS), Deputy Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister of Haryana.

Speaking on ‘Systems, Structures and Strategy: Redefining Infrastructure Governance’, Dr. Singh emphasised the need to align urban growth with environmental protection through a convergence-based and data-driven approach. He highlighted clean production, resource efficiency and circular economy principles, citing the use of bagasse and molasses in sugar industries for ethanol production as an example of converting waste into a resource while advancing sustainable industrial growth.

The session brought together senior administrators, urban development experts and environmental leaders to deliberate upon sustainable urban development, infrastructure governance and emerging environmental challenges. Ms. Chudamani Nimbark and Mr. Saurabh Kukreti, Assistant Environmental
Engineer, UPPCB, were present during the event.

दिनांक 05.10.2026 को श्री राजेंद्र प्रसाद, क्षेत्रीय अधिकारी, उ.प्र. प्रदूषण नियंत्रण बोर्ड, मेरठ द्वारा इंफॉर्म, एजुकेट एंड कम्युनिकेट (आईईसी) ऐक्शन प्लान के अंतर्गत आरडब्ल्यूए प्रतिनिधियों के साथ डीजी सेट संचालन एवं पर्यावरणीय अनुपालन विषय पर कार्यशाला आयोजित की गई।
