Lucknow Global Shapers Lucknow Global Shapers is part of a network of hubs developed and led by young people who are exceptional in their potential, their achievements.

The World Economic Forum has successfully established a history of engaging young leaders to positively and proactively impact the global agenda. In addition to its existing community of Young Global Leaders, who are in their mid to late 30s, the Forum is establishing a special community of young people in their 20s. This new community – the Global Shapers Community – will provide youth with a global platform to shape the future – integrating the personal, community and global dimension. Through the unparalleled convening power of the World Economic Forum, the Global Shapers Community is diverse in demographics, geographical areas and sectors. However, it is united by a common desire to channel the members’ tremendous energy and enthusiasm into building a more peaceful and inclusive world.

On the eve of International Day of Democracy 2026, Y.U.V.A.N.I.T.I. by YOUTH 🎤 organised a Youth-Led Dialogue, where our Vice Curator Sonali Sahu represented the Global Shapers Lucknow Hub.

The dialogue explored youth perspectives on social welfare, government schemes, policy measures and inclusive governance.

Led by Global Shaper Ashish Singh, Avanti Bai Self-Defense Camp brought students together at Bewajah House, Khargapur, for a practical session on self-defense, personal safety and confidence.

Through practical training and interaction, the session encouraged students to stay alert, understand risks and respond with confidence.

A strong start to September with Veerangana Avanti Bai Self Defense Camp. 🥋

Our Shaper Ashish Kumar Singh led a self-defense and safety awareness camp at St. Anthony Public School, Para, Lucknow, bringing together 215+ students.

The session went beyond self-defense techniques, focusing on awareness, personal safety, confidence and staying alert in everyday situations.

We’re happy to see this initiative creating spaces where young people can learn, feel confident and understand the importance of protecting themselves.

A meaningful day at YUVANITI Youth Dialogue – Episode 2, where Misbah Abida, Curator, and Sonali Sahu, Vice Curator, represented Global Shapers Lucknow Hub.

HAd an opportunity to engage in a conversation with Er. Awanish Kumar Singh, Member of the Legislative Council - Graduates, and share a suggestion around making learning more practical for young people.

One idea we spoke about was introducing real-world case studies in the final year of graduation, where students can work on actual issues, learn through experience, and be better prepared for the world of work.

Grateful to the Y.U.V.A.N.I.T.I. by YOUTH 🎤 and Swapna Foundation teams for creating this space for young people to share ideas, engage in dialogue, and be part of conversations around policy and change.
