School for Potential Advancement and Restoration of Confidence or SPARC India, as it is more popularly called, was established in 1996 inspired by self-disability, to provide rehabilitation services to persons with disabilities (PWDs) and their families. Amitabh Mehrotra (Founder Chairperson and Director of SPARC India) despite being afflicted with cerebral palsy has undertaken several initiatives

to serve disabled persons. Under his guidance, SPARC India has worked tirelessly to bring the PWDs and people from marginalized section of society into the main stream. SPARC India has initiated several programs at the community level for empowering Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) and uplifting the marginalized section of the community.
