Sigma Centre of Journalist Welfare Association of India - Scjwai OVERALL GOAL IS TO HELP NEEDY WITHOUT KNOWING HIS CASTE ,CREED AND STATUS AIM OF SIGMA CENTRE OF JOURNALIST WELFARE ASSOCIATION OF INDIA

To take suitable steps in order to stop misbehaviour with journalists, to promote, safeguard and defend the professional interests, welfare and status of working journalists, provision of various kinds of LIC and medical insurances for journalists, bus passes for ( Non Accredited / independent ) working journalists by the government, to strive to get railway passes made, the provision of free medi

cal treatments for the family members of ( Non Accredited /independent) working journalists, to strive to avail of the free education for the family members of ( Non Accredited / independent ) working journalists, to provide free entertainment for the family members of ( Non Accredited / independent ) working journalists, to provide economic assistance to victims family in case of accident or death of ( Non Accredited / independent) working journalists, to strive to avail of the facility of residential area to( Non Accredited / independent) working journalists, To promote and maintain the highest standards of professional conduct and integrity and to strive for and defend the freedom and independence of the media.
2. To endeavour to arrange for training of journalists to improve their professional skills and to establish and maintain institutes of journalism, to strive for the betterment of working conditions of journalists, especially with regard to salary, remuneration, conditions of service, tenure of office, allowances and facilities for the due discharge of their responsibilities without fear or favour.

5. To endeavour to work for and promote legislation for the economic and professional welfare of journalists and for the proper development of the media free from outside control, to establish and maintain libraries for the use of media persons and to promote amenities for recreation and cultural activities.
6. To endeavour to collect, classify and circulate statistics and other information relating to the media and to do all things conducive to the growth of a free and powerful media, to publish newspapers, journals, research papers, reports, booklets, brochures, and books and to set up media news agencies for print and electronic media and to own, maintain and run printing presses and acquire modern information technologies for the dissemination of information.
7. To endeavour to own, construct and maintain buildings for the benefits of journalists, to acquire property of every kind, to sell, mortgage or otherwise alienate or convert them into money or to raise funds through donations or otherwise and to do all such things that are incidental or conducive to attainment of the above objectives or any of them.
8. To endeavour to organise event/ program /seminars/ award ceremony for the journalist who had performed best in journalism and grant them awards.
9. To endeavour to conduct state / National level programs like : welfare, sports, health ,education, information, cultural and give award to the best performers.
10. To endeavour to open ( education /professional /training )centres , schools, for orphans , poor, handicaps.
11. To make an effort to provide economic assistance and pension and employment to helpless, old people and widows, handicapped, who come under the plan of government of India. To make arrangement of accommodation for orphans, senior citizens, and to give financial help to needy, helpless, aged, widows and handicaps by forming self groups.
12. Under the plan of government of India, the organization will provide employment oriented training to women and handicaps for their all round development, and according to the rules of government to give cooperation and help.
13. To endeavour to get facility such as pension for old people and other facilities, employment to the unemployed, help for employment or business under the national agenda of the government of India, according to the rules of government of India.
14. To give training and government help to those women who want to set up small scale industries according to the rules of government of India.
15. To arrange accommodation for the aged and to encourage children, youth and their family members to understand their feelings and remove their loneliness.
16. To provide economic assistance to the weaker sections of society and make them able.
17. To make arrangement for the marriage of unmarried girls of poor families according to the rules of government of India.
18. To strive to remove communal feelings from the minds of Indian society.
19. To make people aware about the environment and the dangers of destruction of the earth in the future.
20. To make people aware about the plantation and the plant trees .
21. To make arrangement of medicines for childless and helpless old people.
22. The improvement of women particularly helpless, widowed and victims of dowry, and to provide opportunities of education to the aged and handicapped and make them dignified and to arrange employment oriented training for mentally re****ed children.
23. To try to uplift the weaker sections of Indian society by bringing them into the mainstream.
24. To develop positive attitude in family members, children, and youth towards the aged.
25. To make efforts for the intellectual development of the old.
26. To spread awareness about the importance of education and contribute to the overall development of the women of working poor and backward classes.
27. To spread awareness in people regarding AIDS and cancer.
28. To provide financial help to helpless, old, widowed, victims of dowry, handicaps and uplift their social status.
29. To contribute to the mental, physical, intellectual and ethical development of children, to provide facility of free ambulance, polio camp and blood donation camp, to give assistance to freedom fighter, to help widows, to help homeless children and provide them accommodation, to make arrangement of medical treatment and place for the stray animals, to make arrangement to prevent diseases caused by stagnant water in the street and electricity and sewers.
30. To spread awareness in society regarding inequality of s*x ratio and the evils of feticide.
31. To try to encourage people in taking active participation in social work and to make them for the sake of children, society and values.
32. To make arrangements of training and control mechanism regarding the control of population. To work towards hygiene and health in society and to make arrangement for health services, public toilets and bathrooms and drainages.
33. To operate basic and complete literacy programs in slum areas and operate programs for poor children and nutritious food.
34. While giving occupational training to the women of poor, uneducated, backward and schedule caste people, and get them loans from government banks for the setting up of self employment and small industries.
35. The organization can set up new branches anywhere for fulfilment of goals and expansion of work.
36. The organization can provide partial and permanent assistance to the other organizations on their requests provided their goals are not contrary to ours.
1. To run programs for the establishment of the unity and integration of the country. And try to promote democracy and comradeship.
2. The income coming from the fixed and liquid assets of the organization will be used for the fulfilment of goals of the organization. The profit of the assets will not be distributed among the members of society. No member of the organization can lay claim to the property of the organization.
