Over the past two years, 2024 and 2025, have been truly transformative for Share Care Charitable Society, Kaipuzha.
What began as a bold vision to construct four homes in Neendoor for widows and persons with disabilities, initially felt beyond our means. With limited resources, the path ahead was uncertain. Yet, when intention is pure and purpose is selfless, grace finds its way.

Through the unwavering commitment of our 72 members, the wholehearted support of our associate members, and above all, divine blessing, this vision became a reality. Today, we are deeply grateful to have successfully completed and handed over these homes to those who truly needed them the most.

Because true charity is not merely about giving, it is about giving meaningfully. An act of kindness reaches its highest value only when it touches the lives of those enduring real hardship, pain, and vulnerability.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude for your generous donations, constant support, and prayers. This journey would not have been possible without you.

As we step into this year’s initiatives, we once again seek your support. Every contribution, no matter how small, has the power to transform lives and bring hope to those in need.

Share and Care Charitable Society proudly announces the successful completion of its second Share and Care Homes project in Neendoor.

Under this initiative, four homes have been constructed, covering a total area of 2,450 square feet. These homes are dedicated to those most in need of shelter and support—underprivileged families, individuals with physical disabilities, chronically ill patients, and widows.

Beneficiaries were selected through a transparent process based on eligibility criteria set by our advisory committee and finalized during our General Body meeting. The keys to the new homes will be officially handed over at the Annual Meet of Share and Care, scheduled for May 18th.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the generous individuals whose contributions made this project possible. A special note of thanks goes to Mr. Karikatupurathu Joy Thomas, who graciously donated the land for this noble cause, and to Mr. Jose Upputtil (USA) for his timely support and generous contribution.

We are equally grateful to those who supervised the project with unwavering dedication, ensuring its timely and efficient completion. Above all, we thank every member of the Share and Care family who worked tirelessly to raise funds and bring this dream to life.

This has been the largest and most impactful project undertaken by Share and Care to date, and we hope it stands as a beacon of hope and compassion for many more to come.

A Heartfelt Easter Gift: Share & Care Charitable Society Supports Ms. Akhila Soman through “Thalikettu” Initiative

In a touching display of compassion and community spirit, the Share & Care Charitable Society, Kaipuzha, extended its heartfelt support to Ms. Akhila Soman as part of its flagship charitable initiative, “Thalikettu.” This special Easter contribution marks yet another chapter in the Society’s unwavering mission to uplift those in need during life's most cherished moments.

“Thalikettu” is a noble initiative designed to assist financially challenged families in conducting the weddings of their daughters. By offering timely financial aid, the program ensures that economic hardship does not dim the joy of new beginnings.

On the auspicious day of 25th April 2025, Ms. Akhila Soman, daughter of Mr. Soman and Mrs. Sumati, began a new journey as she united in marriage with Mr. Jishnu at the Udumbanchola NSS Auditorium. Recognizing the family's financial difficulties—especially in light of Mr. Soman's ongoing health condition following a spinal injury that has confined him to a wheelchair—the Share & Care Society stepped in to provide meaningful support.

During the wedding ceremony, Mr. Shaji Joseph Kannalayil, President of the Society, presented a cheque to Ms. Akhila, symbolizing the community’s blessings and solidarity. Core committee members of the Society were also present, joining the families in celebration and lending strength through their presence.

This thoughtful gesture not only eased the financial burden on Akhila’s family but also reflected the Society’s core values—compassion, dignity, and shared responsibility. It is acts like these that reinforce the importance of coming together as a community to support one another in times of need.

We extend our warmest wishes to Akhila and Jishnu, praying for a life filled with happiness, love, and prosperity. May the spirit of giving and community care continue to illuminate our paths and inspire greater kindness in the world.

A beautiful and thought provoking WhatsApp forward

Being Rich from Within*

I got on to the bus. Seeing the crowd inside, I was upset. There was no place to sit. Just then, a person vacated his seat. The man standing next to the vacant seat could have sat there, but instead he offered the seat to me.

At the next stop, the same thing happened again. He gave his seat to another. This happened 4 times during the entire journey. The man looked like a normal worker, returning home after a long day at work.

At the last stop when all of us got off, I spoke to him.

"Why were you giving your seat to another person every time you got a vacant seat?"

His answer took me by surprise.

He said, I have not studied much in my life nor do I know many things. I do not have much money either. So I do not have anything much to give to anyone. That's why I do this everyday. It is something I can do easily.

"After working all day I can stand for a little longer. I gave my seat to you and you said *thank you*. It gave me satisfaction that I did something for someone.

I do this daily and feel I am contributing in some way.

I go back home refreshed and happy every day that I gave something to someone.

I was speechless!

*Reflection*

Wanting to do something for someone on a daily basis is the ultimate kindness.

This stranger taught me a lot -
*How easy it is to be rich from within!*

Beautiful clothes, lots of money in the bank account, expensive gadgets, accessories & luxuries or even educational degrees - may or may not make you rich and happy; but a small joy of giving is enough to make you feel rich and happy everyday.

No words can truly prepare us for the sorrow that accompanies loss. It comes swiftly, and we are left with memories to console us. While Jose Chettan has left this world, we take comfort in knowing he is now resting in the loving embrace of our Lord Jesus.

Jose Chettan was not just a member of the Share and Care charitable society but one of its guiding forces since its inception. He held critical positions within the society, playing a pivotal role in organising members for various charity projects and raising much-needed funds. His contributions, especially his role in bridging the needs of Kaipuzha parish with the resources of the Kottayam diocese administration , have been invaluable

The loss of a member like Jose Chettan is immeasurable. He was not just a part of Share and Care; he was one of its pillars. We will always hold him close in our hearts, and we pray that his soul rests in eternal peace. May the Almighty grant his family the strength to navigate this time of grief.
