The Sakhyam has given great importance for educational aid and we help the poor and needy. Jerusalem Mar Thoma Yuvajana Sakhyam is involved in many mission projects. As Christians, we are called to show God’s love through our service to those in need. There are many people and communities that are need in of assistance (physical, mental, spiritual, and financial, etc.) and our mission is to use the resources that God has blessed us with to help others. Accepting donations generates the required funds. Programs include study classes focused on Biblical and contemporary themes and recreational activities. The Yuvajana Sakhyam encourages its members to volunteer for the Centre and Diocese Yuvjana Sakhyam activities, other missions of the Mar Thoma Church and community programs. The Yuvajana Sakhyam organizes an annual youth conference. Gospel tours to mission centers are arranged so that the young people come to know of the challenges and opportunities of the mission fields. Thus working towards creating a positive change in the society, the Jerusalem Mar Thoma Yuvajana Sakhyam is indeed living up to the purpose it was formed for. The Yuvajana Sakhyam has approximately 60 members as of 1 January 2011.The activities are conducted under the direct supervision of the Vicar as President. Please continue to uphold the Sakhyam activities in your prayers. The Jerusalem Mar Thoma Yuvajana Sakhyam prayerfully invites all youth members to be part of the Sakhyam.
