Started By A Small Group Of Socially Motivated Youngsters In Pune, United To Change Has Been Ever-Expanding In Its Scope And Operation Since Its Inception In 2012. A couple of years down the line, we have a bunch of enthusiastic volunteers who wish to make a difference in the society. In this short span we done ground level work so as to primarily target the grassroots of social issues. Our aim is

to nip them in the bud so that they cease to flourish and prevent them from further getting ingrained. To the brave hearts who guard our fences, the Indian Army who battle with death as we enjoy our sound sleep, United To Change admires them whole-heartedly hereby making efforts to recognize their indispensable contribution towards the nation. Hence, on days such as freedom fighters day, we organize events for them and honor them for their great deed. On the 27th July 2012 we Kept an Open Meeting in the Army Headquarters on account of the Kargil Vijay Diwas, wiith the Colonel. The Colonel and two other soldiers addressed around 50 people who had gathered for the same and also shared incidents from the Kargil War. We learnt that the colonel who was one of the heroes of the war had to take retirement after suffering grevious hurt by a bullet, but his spirit of patriotism had not withered yet. On the occasion of the anniversary of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, we also organized a Bike Rally to honor this legendary freedom fighter.. In the year 2011, Anna Hazare started the movement "India Against corruption" which took the entire Nation by storm. The movement aimed for the implementation of the Lokpal Bill gained huge media attention and widespread support. We take pride in the fact that our members were and integral part of the same and fasted for 11 days in its support. Apart from this our members have also participated in the Swacch Bharat Abhiyaan, a recent initiative started by the Honorable Prime minister Mr Narendra Modi. To create mass awareness amongst citizens about their voting rights and the need for them to participate in the governance of the country we aided them during the Lok sabha and Vidhan Sabha elections by organizing Voter registration drives and also providing assistance on the voting day so as to enable them reach out to their respective booths and cast their votes. AIl is not just about the magnitude of the work we have done but also the intensity with which we have been constantly involved in the struggle to improve the situation in the society. We believe that these are just baby-steps on our behalf which will go on to complete the bigger picture some day.
