The Youth Hostel Korba unit CG State successfully organized a vibrant one-day trekking and training program on February 1, 2026, on the banks of the river Raja Nahkaan. Around 90 members participated, making it a well-attended community event focused on adventure, physical activities, social responsibility, and environmental awareness. Under the leadership of Chairman Sandeep Seth, with strong support from team members including Shiv Kumari, Tribhuwan, Kalpana, Suman, Deepesh, Ashish Khandelwal, A Y Tomar, Malti Joshi, and many others, the program featured a diverse range of activities Visit to Devgudi,Water sports,Traditional physical sports, Mind games,Breakfast and lunch,Certificate distribution ceremony. President Satish Shukla welcomed the chief guests Pradeep Joshi and Tarun Mishra. Special recognition went to Shri P L Mirendra and Tribhuwan Kaushil, who received Certificates of Excellence for their dedicated service to the Youth Hostel movement. The event also included a meaningful social outreach: stationery items and sweets were distributed to over 30 school and anganwadi students from the local Korba Jati village. Game winners received prizes, adding to the celebratory spirit. Shri Sanjeev Kansal, Chief Engineer and Patron of the Korba unit, congratulated the entire team for the program's success. Active participants such as Nikita, Mayank, Ajit, Arvind, Vikas, M L Sharma, Naveen Manik, Gurupanch, Devi Shankar, Dheeraj, Deepa, Amrita, and others provided positive feedback. The core themes—"ZERO food waste", "Mission NO Litter", and broader social work—were emphasized, with the unit achieving strong results in promoting sustainability and zero-waste practices throughout the day. Korba unit' is contineously making efforts to to conduct activities like river treks and environmental initiatives to foster youth development, adventure, and community service in Chhattisgarh.
