Asha Deep A just peace loving,self relent society based on spiritual,human and social values. This trend was followed by all her successive sisters and followers.

History and Birth of ASHA DEEP Trust
It had been a long cherished dream of Mother Veronica(our Foundress of Apostolic Carmel Congregation) to serve the sick, inform and the needy of the society. To give this dream a shape Mother along with her Group of dedicated Sisters started serving the society at the various level a as and when needed. But with time this charity trends was questioned by thems

elves and the need was felt for professional approach. Keeping this in mind some of sisters were professionally trained in the field of social work. After this the dream was to have our own registered Social Work branch. With this ASHA DEEP trust was born and officially registered at Social work Branch. Through it was officially registered in 2007 the Sister had been serving the Society, late back as 1960 by their own Rights. Executive committee members :-------

We are working in following areas

1. Education:---
• Formal and non formal education –vernacular high school and primary school.
• NIOS (National Inst. For open school) for dropouts.
• Free coaching centres.
• Formal school at Presidency correctional home.
• Admission of prisoner’s children in regular school and hostels.
• Child-in-need educational assistance.
• Computer Education
• Cultural activities and celebration of national and local cultural festivals
• Teacher’s day, Children day, Sports day.
• Counselling.
• Survey of the need to helping the differently abed.

2. Building Up women power: ---
• Community services-formation of self help group.
• Women’s welfare centres.
• Vocational training, knitting, embroidery and tailoring.
• Food processing.
• Preparing of detergents
• Art craft and fabric designing.
• Individual and group saving scheme.
• Employments.
• Occupational therapy for women inmates at Alipur correctional home.
• Adult Literacy programme.
• Celebration of international women’s day ,Annual sports day.


3. Awareness Building programme: ---
• Orientation to saving habits and banking.
• Workshop on health and hygiene and social evils.
• Legal awareness, Social justice and other issue of importance in a society and country.
• Interactive session for improving self-confidence and leadership.
4. Health: ---
• Dispensaries
5. Residential Care: ---
• Hostel and boarding houses for poor and low income group.

6. Other Activities: ---
• Couple’s counselling sessions.
• Individual counselling to women.
• Prisoner’s family welfare scheme.
• Rehabilitation of released prisoners.
• Follow up cases regarding prisoners pending for a long period of time.
• Legal assistance to needy.
• Interaction with the inmates of old age home.
• Networking with other NGOS police and court.

7. Care and Share in our institution: ---
• Mid day meal to the primary school students.
• Annual care and share programme through social awareness week.
• Contribution towards the welfare of the victims’ of natural calamities and other emergencies. WE accept help in the form of
