🌀Cyclone Remal update for WB+BD+Bhutan +Bihar+Jharkhand +NE States 🌀
👉Cyclone Remal most likey to make landfall in between Digha WB to Dublar Char Bangladesh .
👉 Specifically in between Indo -Bangladesh Border of Sundarban close to Pathorpratima island WB,India .
👉Districts of Gangetic WB and North Bengal will be greatly affected by the storm .
👉Kolkata ,North South 24 pgs ,Howrah ,Hoogly,Nadia , Murshidabad,East Burdwan,East Midnapore of South Bengal most likey to get 100-140 kmph wind speed with 200-350+mm rain in 24 to 36 h duration from 26-27th May .
👉Rest of Districts of South Bengal Bankura ,Birbhum ,Purulia , Jhargram,West Midnapore most likey to get 60-150 mm rain with 50-70 kmph wind speed.
👉In North Bengal Maldah will get 150 to 180 mm rain with gusty wind of 50-80 kmph during 27-28 th May.
👉Uttor and Dakshin Dinajpur will get less impact 50-100 mm rain with 50-70 kmph gusty wind .
👉 Darjeeling, Jalpaiguri,Coach Behar Kalimpong, Alipurduar district will get heavy to very heavy isolated extremely heavy rain with wind speed of 40-60 kmph . Cumulative rain will be 300-400 mm in 72 h starting from 27 th May to 30 th May .

👉 Meghalaya,Bhutan ,West Assam (Guwahati) will also get extremely heavy rain starting from 27 th May with 30-60 kmph gusty wind.Rain fall will be more than 600 mm in places .

👉 Bangladesh Khulna , Rajshahi,Rangpur ,Barisal ,Dhaka ,M -Singha division will get 100-170 kmph gusty wind and 200-400 mm rain in 72 h .

Precautions South Bengal & Bangladesh including Kolkata :-
1.Coastal areas inhabitants of WB and Bangladesh should shift themselves towards higher elevated areas.Govt local bodies should arrange safe shelter for them during landfall .
2.sea surge will be vigorous due to which low areas will be flooded including the effect of heavy rain .
3.Power supply disruption ,mobile network disruption ,Drinking water scarcity likey in affected areas.
4.Don't go out after 6 pm IST tomorrow evening in Kolkata and surrounding districts .
5.Arrange dry food , candles , Sufficient Drinking water, Medicines.
6.Charge mobiles other electrical and electronic devices.
7.Shift flower tobs other things from roofs .
8.Try to cancel activities from tomorrow 6pm to next day afternoon.

Precautions for North Bengal, Meghalaya,West Assam,Bhutan :-

1.Due to heavy to extremely heavy rain flash flood ,mud slides ,land slides likey in Bhutan , Meghalaya,SHWB from 27 th to 30 th May .
2.Local water logging ,flooding likey in North Bangladesh,West Assam valley .
3.People of these areas should take necessary precaution .
4.Tourist are requested not to visit Darjeeling,Bhutan ,Meghalaya ,Arunachal Pradesh during 26 th to 31st may .

There will be light to moderate rain in Bihar Jharkhand, Odisha during 26th to 28th May ..less threat to these states .

Most likey to intensify more into Cyclonic storm Remal and intensify more in Next 24 h into Severe Cyclonic storm.
Landfall likely in between Digha WB to Dublar Char Bangladesh as Severe Cyclonic storm to Very Severe Cyclonic storm on 26th May afternoon.

🌧️System update (Cyclone Remal update) in BOB🌧️

👉A LPA area has formed over South Bay of Bengal on 22.5.24 which most likey to get WML status on 23.5.24 and on 24.5.24 it will be Deep Depression moving towards ENE direction .On 25.5.24 it will gain strength as Sea surface temperature and ATM condition and favourable Wind shear persisting on the area and will become Cyclonic Storm -Remal it will continue to move ENE direction and with in few hours will achieve strength of Severe Cyclonic Storm.
After 25.5.24 afternoon it will make recurve towards WNW direction and at the fag end will become Very Severe Cyclonic Storm .
On 26.5.24 after afternoon it will make landfall as very severe Cyclonic Storm to Severe Cyclonic Storm in between Pardeep Odisha to Hatiya Island of Bangladesh .

🟥🟥Most likey it will make landfall in between Chandbali of Odisha to Pathorpratima island of Sundarban India WB.(70%).🟥🟥

🟥Entire North Odisha ,WB, Bangladesh coast line will be on red alert from 25 th to 27 th May .🟥

🟥There will be significant impact on Kolkata and adjacent areas of City .🟥

🟥120-160 kmph gusty wind extremely heavy rain expected to occur during the landfall event .🟥

After landfall the system will not loose it's strength quickly will move slowly towards North north west direction initially and will give torrential rain
Over Bangladesh,West Bengal , Jharkhand,Odisha .

👉After 27 th heavy to very heavy rain also expected in Bihar (Eastern +NE District),Nepal Eastern parts .

👉SHWB,Sikkim ,Bhutan will get torrential downpour after 27th due to which flash flood ,rock fall ,land slides will occur .

👉Heavy to very heavy rain most likey to occur over Meghalaya,Assam , Arunachal Pradesh after 28th May .

👉Fisherman are requested not to go out in the open sea after 25 th May to 28 th May ,2024 and will make plan to return before 25th May .

Areas:-Bihar, Jharkhand,WB, Odisha, Chattisgarh,Sikkim ,Nepal ,Bhutan , Bangladesh,Entire NE India.
Forecast:-Due to heavy flow of moisture from BOB towards East Central India and strong wind confluence and Influence of dipping WD with Associated CC over Jharkhand moving in ESE Direction through WB and Bangladesh , moderate to heavy rain and thunder showers with storm activities expected to occur over Chattisgarh

In between 18th to 22nd March.

Maximum impact can be seen over Odisha (North +Interior +Coastal),South Bengal , Jharkhand (East and South Eastern ) Bangladesh (North Western and Southern) in between 19th to 21st March with gusty wind 🍃 of 30-80 kmph ,hail storm ,Heavy rain ,CG lightning strikes .

Bihar ,North Bengal ,Nepal ,Bhutan NE India will have enhanced activities after 19th March which will continue upto start of April .

Cumulative Rain Accumulation in between 19th -22nd March

South Bengal (Western)-30-80 mm,Hail possibilities (High)
South Bengal (Kolkata +Eastern)-40-100 mm ,Hail Possibilities (Low to moderate).
Odisha ( Coastal):-30-120 mm ,Hail Possibilities (Low).
Odisha (Interior):-20-60 mm hail possibilities (High).
North Bengal:-20-80 mm,Hail Possibilities (High).
Jharkhand (East and South Eastern):-30-100 mm,Hail Possibilities (Moderate to high).
Bihar (Entire):-5-30 mm ,Hail storm (moderate).
Bangladesh (Entire):-40-100 mm Hail Possibilities (Moderate).

After 22nd March minimum temperature will drop and clearing of sky can be seen in East And East Central India including Kolkata and South Bengal.

North Bengal and NE India continue to get sct ts activities after 22nd March and increase after 24th March including North Eastern parts of Bangladesh.

South Bengal again most likey to get TS activities from 25th March specially in South Central districts and from 26th March entire South Bengal likey to have another TS event.
