This track is a hypnotic fusion of ancient devotion and modern sonic intensity. Built around a 12th-century vachana by Akka Mahadevi, the chant becomes a mantra of surrender and transcendence. At 124 BPM, heavy psychedelic bass textures merge with atmospheric synth layers a, creating a temple-meets-warehouse sonic ritual. The repetition is intentional — not performance, but invocation.
Akka Mahadevi was one of the most radical mystic poets of the medieval Bhakti movement in Karnataka. A devotee of Chennamallikarjuna (Shiva), she renounced worldly identity and expressed total union with the Divine through powerful short poems known as vachanas. Her words remain timeless — dissolving ego, dissolving separation.
This composition reimagines her sacred chant in a contemporary soundscape while preserving its original devotional force.
Ancient mantra. Modern ritual. Timeless awakening. 🕉
