🌺🌺 Ram Navami & Shirdi Sai Baba 🌺🌺 - A Festival Of Faith & Unity

Ram Navami, the divine celebration of the birth of Lord Rama, holds a deeply spiritual significance in the sacred land of Shirdi. It was through the blessings and guidance of Sai Baba that this holy festival became one of Shirdi’s most cherished traditions.

In the late 19th century, Sai Baba encouraged devotees to celebrate Ram Navami in Shirdi. While Ram Navami is traditionally a Hindu festival, it became one of the most important celebrations in Shirdi due to Sai Baba’s blessings.

Interestingly, the festival was celebrated alongside the Muslim Urus festival, symbolizing unity between different faiths. With Sai Baba’s guidance, devotees began organizing processions, hoisting flags, singing bhajans, and offering prayers.

Over time, Ram Navami grew into the largest annual festival in Shirdi, attracting thousands of devotees from across India, irrespective of religions, casts and Creed's. The celebration reflects Sai Baba’s universal message of faith, devotion, and harmony among religions.

Even today, Ram Navami in Shirdi reminds devotees that God is one and love unites all. 🙏 - "Sab Ka Malik Ek" 🌼🌼 "Aum Sai Ram"

Baba’s “Nine Thursdays” Vrat (Fast)
Om Sai Ram,
Warm wishes of Ram Navami to all Sai devotees 🙏🏻
Today I will share how Baba blessed our family through observing the “Nine Thursdays” vrat.
Sometimes in life, situations arise that are completely unexpected. I also went through such a phase around mid-2006. My family and I were facing severe financial and mental difficulties. I could not understand how we would come out of that crisis.
In the midst of that, one day Tanmoy told me about Baba’s “Nine Thursdays” vrat. I decided in my mind—I've tried many things, so let me try this once with complete faith in Baba. Accordingly, I started observing this vrat.
Where there is “faith and devotion,” Baba never turns anyone away. The same happened with me. I received Baba’s blessings. My heartfelt prayers and tears were my only offerings. By the second week of the vrat itself, I began to feel Baba’s presence. Gradually, Baba showed us the path to come out of our difficulties. Taking Baba’s name, I started walking on that path. By His grace, I completed the vrat and performed the concluding ritual as per tradition. My family and I found a new direction in life through Baba’s blessings.
Baba taught us that no matter what circumstances come, if our faith and devotion remain strong, no obstacle or adversity can ever harm His devotees.
He was there, He is here, and He will always be with us. 🌸🙏🏻

বাবার "নয় বৃহস্পতিবার" ব্রত

আজকে বলবো বাবা কিভাবে "নয় বৃহস্পতিবার" এর ব্রত পালনের মাধ্যমে আমাদের পরিবারের ওপর কৃপা করেন।
অনেক সময় জীবনে এমন কিছু ঘটে যা সম্পূর্ণ অনভিপ্রেত। আমার জীবনেও সেই রকম সময় ছিল ২০০৬ সালের মাঝামাঝি। আমি ও আমার পরিবার আর্থিক, মানসিক উভয় দিক থেকেই প্রবল সংকটে পরি। বুঝতে পারছিলাম না কিভাবে এই সংকট থেকে উদ্ধার পাবো। তার মাঝেই একদিন তন্ময় কোথাও থেকে বাবার " নয় বৃহস্পতিবার" ব্রতোর কথা আমাকে জানায়। আমি মনে স্থির করি , অনেক কিছু তো করেছি, একবার বাবার ওপর বিশ্বাস রেখে করে দেখি। সেইমতো শুরু করি বাবার এই ব্রত।
যেখানে "বিশ্বাস ও শ্রদ্ধা"- সেখানে বাবা কখনোই ফেরান না। আমার সাথেও হলো তাই। কৃপা পেলাম বাবার। অন্তরের ডাক, চোখের জল এই ছিল আমার পূজোর অর্ঘ্য । ব্রতোর দ্বিতীয় সপ্তাহেই বুঝলাম বাবার উপস্থিতি। আস্তে আস্তে সংকট থেকে বেরোবার রাস্তা বাবা দেখিয়ে দিলেন। বাবার নাম নিয়ে চলতে শুরু করলাম সেই পথে। ব্রত সম্পূর্ণ করলাম বাবার দয়ায়। ব্রত উৎযাপন করলাম বিধি মেনে। আলোর দিশা পেলাম আমি ও আমার পরিবার বাবার কৃপায়।
বাবা শেখালেন, পরিস্থিতি যাই আসুক, আমাদের বিশ্বাস ও শ্রদ্ধা যদি দৃঢ় হয় তবে কোনো আপত্তি বা বিপত্তি ওনার ভক্তদের কোনোভাবেই ক্ষতি করতে পারবে না। উনি ছিলেন, আছেন ও আগেও থাকবেন। 🌸🙏🏻

Heartfelt love to all Sai devotees. I pray that Baba’s blessings guide every devotee in their journey of life.
The other day, I shared how Baba first came into our home through His grace. Today, I will speak about one of His divine leelas (miracles).

The First Guru Purnima Puja:
For a long time, I had wished to perform Narayan Puja at home once a year. However, I could never find a suitable full moon day. Every time I planned a date, some obstacle would arise. Finally, after discussion, it was decided that the puja would be held on Guru Purnima.
At that time, I was not even aware that Guru Purnima is one of the most important festivals celebrated in Shirdi. Anyway, that year, I began the Guru Purnima puja in my new home for the first time. In truth, Baba Himself initiated His own worship through this Narayan Puja.
My parents are initiated in the teachings of Sri Ramakrishna Dev, so I offered garland and worshipped his image as Narayan. Baba’s picture was placed right beside it, on a box.
After the puja, as I was sitting quietly and looking at the image of Ramakrishna Dev, I suddenly saw Baba Himself sitting there, dressed in white. I was astonished. At first, I thought I might be mistaken. But then I realized—this was not an illusion, it was real.
Baba made me understand that He had taken the reins of my life into His own hands, becoming my Guru. No matter how I perform my worship, the offering ultimately reaches His holy feet.
I truly do not have the ability to express Baba’s leelas in words. I can only say that this is something to be experienced. I firmly believe that Baba reveals His divine presence to all His devotees in one way or another.
My family and I are deeply grateful to Baba. By His grace, He has come into our lives as our Guru, even without our awareness, and continues to forgive our mistakes and guide us on the right path.

সকল সাইভক্তদের জানাই আন্তরিক ভালোবাসা। বাবার আশীর্বাদ সকল ভক্তবৃন্দের জীবনে চলার পাথেয় হোক—এই প্রার্থনা করি।
আগের দিন বলেছিলাম, বাবা কীভাবে কৃপা করে প্রথম আমাদের বাড়িতে এসেছিলেন। আজ বলবো ওনার লীলার কথা।
প্রথম গুরুপূর্ণিমার পুজোর অনুষ্ঠান:
আমি অনেকদিন ধরেই ভাবতাম, বাড়িতে বছরে একবার নারায়ণ পুজো করবো। কিন্তু কিছুতেই একটি পূর্ণিমার দিন ঠিক করতে পারছিলাম না। যে দিনের কথাই ভাবি, সেদিনই কোনো না কোনো বাধা এসে যেত। শেষমেশ সবাই আলোচনা করে ঠিক হলো—গুরুপূর্ণিমার দিনই নারায়ণ পুজো করা হবে।
এই প্রসঙ্গে জানাই, তখনও আমি জানতাম না যে শিরডিতে বছরে যতগুলো উৎসব হয়, তার মধ্যে গুরুপূর্ণিমা অন্যতম প্রধান উৎসব। যাইহোক, সেই বছরই প্রথম আমার নতুন বাড়িতে গুরুপূর্ণিমার পুজো শুরু করি। আসলে বাবা নিজেই নিজের পুজো শুরু করান নারায়ণ পুজোর মাধ্যমে।
আমার মা ও বাবা শ্রী রামকৃষ্ণদেবের মন্ত্রে দীক্ষিত, তাই আমিও ওনার ছবিতে মালা দিয়ে নারায়ণরূপে পুজো করছিলাম। বাবার ছবিটা ঠিক তার পাশেই একটি বাক্সের উপর রাখা ছিল।
পুজো শেষ হওয়ার পর, আমি যখন রামকৃষ্ণদেবের ছবির দিকে তাকিয়ে বসে ছিলাম, হঠাৎ দেখলাম—বাবা স্বয়ং সেখানে বসে আছেন, পরনে সাদা বস্ত্র। আমি অবাক হয়ে গেলাম। প্রথমে ভাবলাম, হয়তো ভুল দেখছি। কিন্তু পরে অনুভব করলাম—না, এটা ভুল নয়, এটাই সত্য।
বাবা যেন আমাকে বোঝালেন—উনি আমার জীবনের রাশ নিজের হাতে তুলে নিয়েছেন, আমার গুরু হয়ে। আমি যেভাবেই পুজো করি না কেন, সেই অর্ঘ্য শেষ পর্যন্ত ওনার শ্রীচরণেই নিবেদিত হবে।
বাবার লীলা অক্ষরে বর্ণনা করার ক্ষমতা আমার সত্যিই নেই। শুধু এইটুকু বলতে পারি—এটা উপলব্ধির বিষয়। আমি নিশ্চিত, বাবা তাঁর সকল ভক্তদের কোনো না কোনোভাবে তাঁর লীলা উপলব্ধি করান।
আমি ও আমার পরিবারের সকলে বাবার কাছে চিরকৃতজ্ঞ—উনি কৃপা করে আমাদের অজান্তেই আমাদের জীবনে গুরু হয়ে এসেছেন এবং সর্বদা আমাদের ভুল-ত্রুটি ক্ষমা করে সঠিক পথে চলার দিশা দেখিয়ে চলেছেন।

Om Sai Ram 🙏🏻

From today, every Thursday I have decided that I will share with all Sai devotees how I have felt Baba’s presence and grace in my life. I sincerely pray to Baba to help me, because without His blessings it is impossible to express these experiences.

Baba’s First Arrival in Our Home:

First of all, I would like to say that from the very beginning it was not that I had immense faith in Baba or that I worshipped Him deeply. It took me a long time to realize and feel that He is none other than Lord Shri Krishna Himself.

In 2006, on the occasion of Janmashtami, my husband Tanmoy and I went to the market to buy items for the puja. There we saw a man sitting with several pictures of different deities, waiting for customers. Among them, one picture of Baba caught my attention. I noticed it, but I did not show much interest in buying it. I became busy purchasing other puja items and later completely forgot about the picture.

After returning home, I was a little surprised to see Baba’s picture among the items we had brought. When I asked Tanmoy about it, he told me that he had liked the picture very much and so he bought it. Since I was busy at the time, he could not inform me then.

There is one important thing to mention here: Baba Himself chooses His devotees. No one can become His devotee against His will. He had decided to bless us, and that is why He came to our home in this way.

The next day, on the day of Janmashtami puja, I placed that picture on top of a box kept at my place of worship and performed the puja of Lord Krishna. Many times it happened that I offered flowers to all the other deities but forgot to offer flowers to Baba. Yet whenever I bowed to all the deities, Baba also accepted my pranam.

At that time, we did not have our own house. We were living in a rented house and were trying very hard to buy a flat of our own. During the puja, my only prayer was that somehow a way would be arranged for us.

We all know that wherever Baba resides, the heartfelt prayers of His devotees never go unanswered. The same happened with us. By Baba’s grace, everything was arranged in such a way that in 2007 we were able to buy our new flat without any difficulty.

Baba knows what we need and when we need it. Accordingly, He plans everything in His own way.

And thus began our journey of living together with Baba as a member of our family.

আজ থেকে প্রতি বৃহস্পতিবার আমি আমার জীবনে বাবার উপস্থিতি ও বাবার কৃপা কিভাবে অনুভব করেছি সেই কথা সকল সাইভক্তবৃন্দদের সাথে ভাগ করে নেব স্থির করেছি। বাবার কাছে আন্তরিক প্রার্থনা উনি আমাকে সাহায্য করুন ওনার কৃপা ছাড়া এই অনুভূতিগুলো বোঝানো অসম্ভব।

বাবার প্রথম আগমন আমাদের বাড়িতে:

শুরুতে জানাই আমি প্রথম দিন থেকেই যে বাবাকে খুব বিশ্বাস করতাম বা পুজো করতাম তা নয়। উনিই যে স্বয়ং ভগবান শ্রীকৃষ্ণ তা অনুভব করতেও অনেক সময় লেগেছিল আমার।
২০০৬ সালে জন্মাষ্টমী পুজোর সামগ্রী কেনার জন্য আমি ও আমার স্বামী তন্ময়, আমরা বাজারে যাই। সেখানে দেখি একজন ছবি বিক্রেতা কিছু ঠাকুরের ছবি নিয়ে খরিদ্দারের অপেক্ষায় বসে আছেন। সেখানে বাবার একটি ছবির ওপর আমার নজর পরে। দেখি কিন্তু , কিনে নেয়ার খুব আগ্রহ কিছু দেখাইনি। আমি অন্য দিকে পুজোর সামগ্রী কিনতে ব্যস্ত হয়ে পরি ও পরে ছবিটির কথা ভুলেও যাই। এরপর বাড়ি এসে বাকি সামগ্রীর মধ্যে বাবার ওই ছবিটি দেখে কিছুটা অবাক হয়ে যাই। তন্ময়কে জিগ্যেস করায় ও বলে ওর ওই ছবিটা খুব ভালো লেগেছিল ও তাই কিনে নিয়েছিল। আমি ব্যস্ত ছিলাম তাই তখন জানাতে পারেনি।
এখানে একটা কথা বিশেষ ভাবে উল্লেখ করার, যে বাবার ভক্ত নির্বাচন বাবা নিজেই করেন । ওনার ইচ্ছার বিরুদ্ধে ওনার ভক্ত কেউ হতে পারেনা। উনি কৃপা করবেন বলেই এইভাবে এসেছিলেন উনি।
যাক, পরের দিন অর্থাৎ জন্মাষ্টমী পুজোর দিন আমি ঐ ছবিটি আমার ঠাকুরের স্থানে রাখা একটি বাক্সেরওপর রেখে আমার বাড়িতে থাকা শ্রী কৃষ্ণের পূজো করি।
এমন অনেকদিন হয়েছে যেদিন হয়তো সব ঠাকুরকে ফুল দিয়েছি কিন্তু বাবাকেই ফুল না দিয়ে পুজো করেছি।সবাইকে প্রণাম করার সাথে সাথে বাবাও আমার প্রণাম নিতেন।
তখনও আমাদের নিজেদের বাড়ি হয়নি ,ভাড়া বাড়িতে থাকতাম, খুব চেষ্টায় ছিলাম যাতে নিজেদের একটা ফ্ল্যাট কিনে নিতে পারি। পুজোর সময় প্রার্থনা শুধু এটাই ছিল যে কোনোভাবে যদি কিছু ব্যবস্থা হয়।
একথা তো আমরা জানি যেখানে বাবা থাকেন সেখানে তাঁর ভক্তদের আকুল প্রার্থনা কখনো বিফলে যায় না। আমাদের সাথে হলও তাই। বাবার কৃপায় সমস্ত যোগাযোগ এইভাবে হলো যে ২০০৭ সালে আমাদের নতুন ফ্ল্যাট কিনে নিতে কোনো অসুবিধাই হলো না।
বাবা জানেন কোনটা আমাদের জন্য কখন প্রয়োজন। সেইমতো উনি তার পরিকল্পনাও করে রাখেন।
এইভাবেই শুরু হয় বাবার, আমাদের পরিবারের একজন হয়ে, একসাথে দিনযাপনের যাত্রা।

সকল সাইভক্তবৃন্দদের জানাই ওম সাইরাম🙏🏻
আজ থেকে আমি এক নতুন অধ্যায় শুরু করতে চলেছি । বহুদিনের ইচ্ছে ছিল বাবার কথা , উপদেশাবলী সকল ভক্তবৃন্দের মাঝে ছড়িয়ে দেয়ার। যিনি অসহাযের সহায়, অনাথের নাথ, পরম দয়ালু , কৃপার সাগর তাঁর অনুপ্রেরণাই আমাকে আজ এই আনন্দ পর্বে সামিল হওয়ার দুযোগ দিয়েছে।
"সাই" শুধু একটি নাম নন, তিনি হলেন শক্তি। আমরা যারা সাইভক্ত তাদের জীবনের ভীত এই নাম। "শ্রদ্ধা ও সবুরি " এই দুই হলো বাবার পুজোর প্রধান উপকরণ। ওনার ওপর অটুট বিশ্বাস বা আস্থা হলো ওনার পুজোর বিধি। "সাই সৎচরিত" পঠন হলো সেই আশার আলো যা অগণিত ভক্তদের আশ্বাস দেয় , "ভয় কি আমি আছি"। ভক্তি পূর্ণতা তখনই পায় যখন আমরা মনের দুর্বলতা কে প্রশ্রয় না দিয়ে বাবার কথার ওপর সম্পূর্ণ ভাবে বিশ্বাস রাখি এবং ওনার দেওয়া শক্তিকে পাথেয় করে কর্ম পথে এগিয়ে চলি। সামনে কি আছে জানার প্রয়োজন নেই শুধু এটা জানাই যথেষ্ট বাবা আমাদের পথপ্রদর্শক।

Om Sairam to all Sai devotees 🙏🏻
From today, I am about to begin a new chapter. For a long time, I had the desire to spread Baba’s words and teachings among all devotees. He who is the support of the helpless, the guardian of the orphaned, the most compassionate and an ocean of grace—by His inspiration I have received the opportunity to be a part of this joyful journey today.
“Sai” is not just a name; He is a divine power. For those of us who are Sai devotees, this name is the very foundation of our lives. “Shraddha and Saburi” (faith and patience) are the two main offerings in Baba’s worship. Unwavering faith and trust in Him is the true way of worshipping Him. Reading the Sai Satcharitra is that ray of hope which reassures countless devotees: “Why fear when I am here.”
Devotion reaches its fulfillment when we do not give in to the weaknesses of the mind but instead place complete faith in Baba’s words and move forward on the path of action with the strength He gives us. There is no need to know what lies ahead—knowing that Baba is our guide is enough.
