Previously, indigenous women of Kultali proved that pig farming is a profitable livelihood option capable of transforming socio-economic conditions. Inspired by their success, 13 more indigenous women have now come forward to start their own pig farms.

This initiative reflects growing confidence among rural women to adopt sustainable livelihood opportunities and move towards financial independence. We are hopeful that these efforts will create many more inspiring success stories in the near future.

Lokamata Rani Rashmoni Mission (LRRM) has been honored as one of the winners of the prestigious “Our Power, Our Planet Stars Awards 2026” by Earth Day Network-India.

The distinguished award was formally presented to Mrs. KumKum Pal and Mr. Amiyangshu Pal, dedicated members of LRRM, during the grand Gala Award Ceremony held on 22nd April 2026 at the iconic Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (Studio Theatre), Mumbai.
