Following the legacy left for us by Swamiji, Sri Ramkrishna Ashram, Nimpith came in to existence with the noble objective of elevating the economically and socio-culturally backward people of Sundarbans. The ashram has been striving hard to achieve the self confidence and self respect among the people in general, since its onward journey by launching several programmes and activities, some are

Health care:- Services to the remotest of the islands

Rural development:- Through women's empowerment, capacity building and environment protection

Agriculture:- Promoting sustainable agriculture practices through Krishi Vigyan Kendra

Bio-Technology:- Appropriate rural biotechnology and entrepreneurship
development for the rural youth

Culture:- Socio cultural inputs to bring peace and harmony
