For an emerging and developing country like India, development of underprivileged children holds the key to the progress of the nation itself. Development does not mean just giving them a place to rest their heads or sending them to schools. It means giving them a reason to live, a hope to survive on and a confidence to take on the world. “Pehla Kadam” is such a community, through which we try to
gift these children with all these three.
“Pehla Kadam” is a small effort by Community Human Welfare Organization (CHWO) and IIM Calcutta Students, where underprivileged children from Joka and nearby regions are treated with a day of fun and entertainment through various interactions and cultural performances. Through “Pehla Kadam”, we introduce the children to the world of dance and music, to plays and mimes; and to give the children a stage to perform. Club mail id: [email protected]
