The Organic Kerala Charitable Trust was formed with the objective of promoting and popularizing the organic agriculture, organic foods organic farm products, seeds and seedlings, Ethnic products, Organic farming methods, Agro Compact machinery etc. through awareness programs such as conducting seminars, workshops etc and activities such as conducting exhibition of such products etc. At the formati
on stage only a few individuals have actively participated in its activities and who are its founding trustees. As part of our activities ORGANIC FAIR is being conducted every year named as ORGANIC KERALA during April-May. At the initial years the function was only like a private affair conducted by Non Government Organizations. The support and participation which the Trust receives is gradually increasing. The farming community at every nook and corner of this State has supported the venture and participated in the annual events conducted by the Trust. Now the functions are being sponsored by respected personalities in all walks of life, other Charitable and Social organizations, Educational institutions, Co-operative organizations, Local self government institutions and also by the State and Central Government institutions. So far, the Trust has successfully conducted nine such functions. It is to be noted that the last years' function were a grant success and got the nod and imagination of several distinguished personalities. The Organic Kerala Charitable Trust is well aware of the concept of sustainable development and conservation of ecology as well as environment. The Trust was formed with the objective of promoting and popularizing the organic agriculture, organic foods etc. to achieve this end. But due to lack of accessibility of organic products at reasonable prices general public keep away from such products.
