This Ocha, titled My Money, My Future, was a step away from the conventional talks about money. Gender and inclusive finance specialist Nina Nayar, who is also the current program coordinator of ROV, took us all on an interactive journey into what it really means to take decisions on handling money and creating wealth. Everyone, from a 15-year-old schoolgirl to a retired engineer, shared their experiences, dreams and goals around money. And we all left the session feeling a little less intimidated and a little more in charge of our financial futures.
One of the insights we absolutely loved: Always budget for joy!

P.S. Watch this space for reels with more key insights!

Grateful to Vineetha and Aleena for sharing their stories, experiences and perspectives at 'Art For All' at our latest edition of Ocha - Gender Voices at the Museum.

We got insights into who gets to define art, how arts that have been practised for centuries are now being claimed by the upper classes/castes by their interest and practice of it while communities that still practise these arts are gatekept from the elite space of art. The understanding of how women artists are seen as women first and artists as an afterthought almost.
The realisation of an inequitable world making the world of arts—meant to be an open space and a space for dissent—into yet another arena of power disparity.
Join us for more such thoughtprovoking discussions at Ocha, held on the last Sunday of every month at Kerala Museum.
